Hm…I can see that but on the flip side, if I would do a ton of research about a show and hype myself up for it to only not be my thing it would also be disappointing after investing all that time into it. I’ve watch so much anime at this point that I know pretty much in the first couple episodes whether I like it or not so trying stuff out and expanding my horizons has worked out for me in the end.

Yeah I normally don’t bother reading synopsis for anything anymore cause I feel like it can negatively influence my perception of a series right from the get go, even potentially turning me off from watching a show at all.

Oh so you don’t like any kind of drama then? For those two it’s more suspenseful drama and they have multiple genres attached to them. Do you only watch slice of life/romance then?

Yup yup. There are good drama anime, like Code Geass and Steins;gate but they had appropriate comedic moments while otherwise sticking to that genre.

Ah that’s fair and you’re right. I only typically like drama if it’s the intent of the series. I’d prefer it to stay out of my romantic comedies for sure.

Yeah that’s fair, but guess the mangaka with dress up darling is more focused on the dress up part of it. Which is fine but wish there was less drama involved with it.

No worries! Normally there’s little extra panels and such in manga too. And yeah the series is definitely more focused on the cosplay and not so much the romance right now, which I know makes things a bit awkward.
