High school student Junta Shiraishi has a simple goal—to live a fulfilling youth. However, achieving this goal appears to be harder than expected, as everyone in his surroundings often fails to notice him due to his lack of presence. In fact, Shiraishi's lack of presence is so severe that people think his seat in class is always empty, and mistakenly assume that he often skips school. There is even a weird rumor spreading around in class, claiming that those who successfully spot Shiraishi will be blessed with good fortune for the day.

So far, the only person who notices his existence is Nagisa Kubo, the girl seated next to him. Unfortunately for him though, Kubo likes to tease him on a daily basis and often puts him into unprecedented and nerve-wracking situations. However, as Kubo's playful antics continue to involve the reluctant Shiraishi, he may soon discover that his youth might not be as boring as he initially thought.

Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai truly is one of a kind.
It has a mix of Takagi-san feels and Nagatoro-san bullying.
Not gonna lie I picked this up because of it’s eye-catching cover and as a fan of stories like this, I said “Why not?”

The manga’s plot is relatively simple. Kubo-san teases Shiraishi, he overthinks and life continues as usual basically an episodic plot expect for a certain few chapters where the author focuses on one of the main characters’s additional stories that have little relation to the other main character. As expected from a romance manga, this makes me scream inside as it’s just read more

This series is a good read. It is similar to the manga series of Takagi-san, and other series that focuses on the interactions of our two main characters, mostly about teasing and about Shiraishi's problem being "invisible". But keep in mind, the teasing in this series is wholesome and seeing Shiraishi being noticed slowly is something to see. For those who will continue to read the rest of the review, I might include some spoilers that some of you see as being important, so you have been warned.

So lets start with the story. The story itself is very simple, just like I said earlier, the read more

This manga can work as a variety of things: a cute little filler for the general reader, a very well-done fluff piece for an SoL/romance-type fan like myself, and - if we're talking on more extreme terms - very effective eyebleach. And in those regards, it works quite well.

Story (7/10): To set it straight - it's nothing special. In fact, if you were expecting much of a story at all, this'd probably be quite underwhelming. But it is, in essence, an SoL, and if we're talking that much, then not only does its storyline suffice, it's even quite appropriate. Regardless, you can't help but agree read more

This is a really, really cute story and a very comfortable read.

I can end the review right there, and it would still convey the central feeling we get from the story. It's a story about playful Kubo befriending the socially invisible Shiraishi, and they are mad cute together. Now, what do I mean by socially invisible?

Shiriashi Junta has no presence, so people never seem to find him/notice him. Apart from his classmate Kubo Nagisa. She was wondering what we are all wondering, how much can Shiraishi do and get away with. Kubo finds out that Shiraishi is a normal, polite boy who is read more
