A Couple of Cuckoos
Volume 1

The members of the Umino household are all rather similar: they are energetic and incredibly dynamic—except for Nagi, a serious and introverted young man whose sole focus is on academics. He is the complete opposite of someone like his younger sister Sachi, who is a reflection of her extroverted parents. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Nagi was swapped with another baby at birth.

On the way to meet his true parents, Nagi encounters Erika Amano, a young social media star. While spending the day with her, he learns that Erika's parents forced a marriage onto her. Later that day, Nagi comes to learn that Erika's fiancé is actually none other than himself, in order to officially be part of each other's family. With the goal to build the pair's relationship, Nagi's biological father arranges for the fiancés to start living together! However, no matter what tricks their parents pull, Nagi refuses to marry Erika. That is because he already has sights set on someone else: the beautiful and intelligent Hiro Segawa.

This is my first review. I might be biased on my review because I am not a picky person in anime. I just really appreciate the work of the author.

Art 10
10 For the art, I really love Miki Yoshikawa character design I feel nostalgic every time I read the manga. The background is really great. I really feel the emotions of the characters.

Story 8

For me the story is quite unique. I really don't mind the other details but the feels like brought me back years ago when I was reading Miki Yoshikawa's work where I starter to love anime and manga.

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (129/? eps)
At the earlier part of the manga i had a feeling that this show were more or less pure vanilla, exchanged at birth and engaged later on? cool, sachi moves in to the erika/nagi house? okay, so it was a fun read. But as the story moves forward the studio starting to raise the bar and more or less make the story more complicated (?) who is this erika older brother anyway? Erika parents were very welcoming to the prospect of their daughter and lost son to being engaged, but as the story goes further the manga gives the impression that Nagi and Erika parents ...

Preliminary (74/? eps)
The manga has an interesting start, but any interest fades away too early. Everything becomes repetitive and senseless. A massive suspension of disbelief is required to accept anything in this work.
I couldn't notice any sign of character development, which only made the work more unbearable.

I believe this work is a waste of time. Anything positive about it is easily overshadowed by the dull and forced storyline. Apparently, the mangaka wanted to delve into a story of romance, slice of life, comedy, betrayal, incest, and harem, but couldn't quite decide where to focus. They superficially incorporated all the elements and ended up making this unpleasant milkshake.
