Synopsis

The hero of Tensei shitara Ken deshita differs from your standard otherworldly protagonist in that he is reincarnated as a sword! Beginning his quest by spawning in the middle of a beast-ridden forest, he encounters an injured girl frantically fleeing for her life. Saving her from her assailants, the pair acquaint themselves, and the girl introduces herself as Fran. She bears a heavy past, having endured the enslavement and maltreatment of her tribe, the Black Cats.

As the hero is unable to remember the name from his past life, the young and tenacious Fran bestows him the name "Shishou" and becomes his wielder. Thereafter, Shishou and Fran become a formidable team, embarking on quests to liberate the oppressed and exact justice!

Background

Tensei shitara Ken deshita was initially released as a web novel on the user-generated site Shousetsuka ni Narou in October 2015. Micro Magazine acquired the rights to the series under the GC Novels imprint and began publishing volumes in July 2016.

On May 30th, a limited edition fifth volume was released and bundled with a drama CD with voices provided by Satoshi Hino and Inori Minase, among others.

Tensei shitara Ken deshita has been published digitally in English as Reincarnated as a Sword by Seven Seas Entertainment under the Airship imprint since May 2, 2019, and in print since August 6, 2019.

This work is very good, I highly recommend it.

Her style is pure adventure, taking One Piece as an example, where the main characters travel from island to island, and in each one they have great challenges, Ken Deshita is the same style, the two MCs travel from city to city, with great challenges each one, and the plot is worked out as they go adventuring.

Both the MC (sword) and the FMC (user) are charismatic.

The FMC is that kind of character that speaks little but manages to win you over, having moments that she is cute, ruthless, responsible, childish, etc.

This was a nice surprise. I thought for sure this was just gonna be something like a ecchi manga that you would forget about in a couple day's . But i am gladly mistaken.

The story is nicely paced. While one of the MC's ( The sword) Is powerful and can do his own. His power is only able to shine when Fran ( 2nd MC) Is wielding him. This is a nice change. While yes the MC is powerful he isn't game breaking unless someone is around to use him.

Fran is also really adorable. If i remember she is 14 or around ...

The story is centered around a guy who has been reincarnated as a sword, and is now carried around by the adventurer Fran.

The story by itself has been fun to read. It features many of the aspects common to other Isekai novels, like a game-like leveling system with skills and everything. The story also visits interesting places and they, the sword and Fran, aren't just aimlessly wandering around and actually have a goal in mind. Which is always nice.
