I liked them and they fulfilled their purpose , but they didn't really impress me nor would I claim that they're well written. Standard fare to sum it up yet not as entertaining as in Food Wars.

I would definitely recommend it under the following conditions. You are into adventure in battle shounen style and don't mind heavy use of tropes. Cook duels were similar to the ones in Food Wars - the ecchi and not as flashy, but if you liked one chances are higher you will also like the other.

If this all applies to you, then you are probably in for a good ride.

Personally, I really enjoyed the series as a whole, the story was very light and most episodes were directly tied to each other which resulted in a good flow and allowed an easy binge. Just don't expect anything great or innovative. Moreover, the last third felt a bit weaker and not as fresh and exciting compared to the captivating start.
