It was announced at the "Naruto x Boruto" stage event at Jump Festa 2017 that the Naruto spin-off manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will receive a TV anime in April 2017. The main cast members will be reprising their roles from the sequel movie to Naruto Shippuuden.

Synopsis
Naruto was a young shinobi with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in the village and his face sits atop the Hokage monument. But this is not his story... A new generation of ninjas are ready to take the stage, led by Naruto's own son, Boruto! (Source: VIZ Media)

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is written by Ukyou Kodachi with illustrations by Mikio Ikemoto and has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since May 2016. Shueisha published the second compiled volume on December 2, and the manga currently has over 1,000,000 copies in print.

I am sooooooo not looking forward to this. Naruto's kid better have super OP powers and Physical abilities, more so that he passes his father up overtime. Otherwise this isn't gonna be a very good one & it definately doesnt catch my attention. Plus Boruto's hair style looks terrible, its just like that one kid who I find really annoying. I forgot his name, he's the kid that learned Sexy-Jutsu from Naruto.

It's a real disappointment that the season's of Naruto ended so quickly, I was really hoping to see more epic battles & Naruto gaining more awesome 9 Tailed fox powers/abilities, along with new Ninja techniques like the anime One Piece for example. That anime is 700+ episodes in & is still going on & he's still getting stronger with each battle. Wish Naruto's seasons & episode were as long as that.

I really hope this new Boruto anime will make it up to my expectations and my hunger for OP mc's and over the top OP battles. All I can remember is in Naruto, there were only around 2 or 3 epic battles out of all the seasons added togther. I'm not talking about the movies, I haven't seen all those yet.

I will never understand the Naruto trolls. If you do not like the show, just don't watch. There are plenty of other anime options available to you. Obviously, there are plenty of people that still really enjoy the show, fillers and all.

The options are either 10 years of weekly content with fillers, or < 2 years of nonstop arcs. I rather enjoy having a long term series to look forward to. There are so many great series that end way too soon, so this is a welcome deviation for me and many others.

I guess Shippuden really is ending soon..and on it's tenth anniversary.

Boruto should be fun, but I do hope it doesn't pull a Dragon Ball Super and adapt the movie.

Literally what lol. Doesn't Boruto only have a few chapters as of now afaik?

It's gonna suck anyways, just like Shippuden does these days...

Not surprising. I'm sure the Boruto manga will be directly adapted in a separate adaptation also, so they have hundreds more episodes to milk.

Wait, so Kishi has nothing to do with it? Why shoot yourself in the foot by making connection with a train wreck Naruto was, instead of using the setting without crappy characters and all the baggage. They can cash whatever popularity it had without going in to sink in the same cesspool.

They are not gonna follow the manga since the manga is basically the Boruto movie right now.

Anyone else rather have "The Last" blank period arc or even the novels around that period adapted? I mean seriously, I'll take a whole year of fillers using the blank period instead of Boruto. I just want to see Naruto and Konoha 11 doing ninja shit instead of old people stuffs like Sakura cleaning or Hinata knitting or Shino teaching.

So when Boruto inevitably has a child with Sarada in another 15-20 years, will that be the most talented ninja ever born?

Think about it... Boruto supposedly has access to the byakugan which means that their potential offspring could inherit it later.

Sarada obviously has access to the Sharingan which means their offspring would also have access to that as well.

Additionally this child would have incredibly strong grandparents on both sides (assuming they are both still alive) so they would have access to the best of both worlds.
The little sister seems more prodigious than Boruto lol
I'll check this out, probably not gonna be great but I'll withhold judgement. And what is with these naming schemes? I just realized Naruto and Bleach both went the same route, following in the path of J.K. Rowling's terrible epilogue.

what are they even adapted? LMAO... but yeah, i guess another movie recap before goes full original...
