I enjoyed Odd Taxi! I thought the plot twists were well earned and that the characters were likable. I definitely got more invested once the missing person case started coming into focus, but even outside of that, I liked how it tried to develop even the more evil characters into characters we would/should like.

I’ve also finally started getting into Shion no Ou. Even though it began a bit slowly, it’s really growing on me. I tend to prefer “academic battle” shows over pure action or physical fights, so shogi-based stories are something I almost always gravitate towards. They always seem to remind me of training arcs, which I also love. Honestly, I'm enjoying it even without the whole murder-mystery plot or any spoilers yet!

I haven’t managed to watch Ayakashi yet, but it’s definitely still on my list.

Other than that, you did a great job picking out shows for me! Thanks again for putting so much thought into these suggestions.

Heya my Kanojona! Maybe you remember - for the 2023/2024 Secret Santa, you gave me a few shows, among them Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou! And I finally got around to watching it! I was initially a bit hesitant because I tend not to like gag comedy shows - I didn't like Nichijou either, but what I did enjoy was Osomatsu and Saiki Kusuo. And I feel this show is closer to those two in tone and humor. I enjoyed it! THe boys were all simple yet funny, I loved the Riverside girl and her fantasies, the funky High School Girls... the little segments all had just the right length as well. I watched 1 episode each day for the past 2 weeks and know I'll be missing that little routine, haha. Also Akira Ishida was in it as well! I enjoyed him as the ever so laid back student council president. In any case, thank you for bringing this one to my attention! I'm making sure I watch your other recommendations as well
