Both anime explore the themes of "found families" and feature societal outcasts taking care of children cast aside by their parents. Both of these anime could also put you in the Christmas Spirit as the first and last arcs of Buddy Daddies are set at Christmas and Tokyo Godfathers takes place on Christmas Eve.

Both shows are about SCIENCE and anthropomorphize cells - cells of the human body in Cells at Work Black and rice fermentation cells in Moyashimon. Moyashimon is more light hearted than the Cells at Work spinoff, but still puts the main characters into adult situations, which is why I think Moyashimon is more similar to the spinoff than the original Cells at Work.

Both are about hilarious hijinks of magical creatures. Kobayashi is about a magical creature in the human world, while Maoujou de Oyasumi is about a human creating chaos in a magical setting. Both characters grow to prefer their 'adopted' homes over their original homes.

Both are about magical creatures house sitting for the main character. Kobayashi is the better show IMO, but Senko-san is a good show to tide you over until season 2 comes out!

Both are very cute shorts surrounding pets. However, there are no humans in Bananya unlike Inu to Neko.

At face value, these seem very different - one is a full series while the other is only six minutes long. However, the jist is the same - the characters' imagination is drawn out in front of them and they build the worlds in which they adventure themselves. In Jumping, you don't actually see the MC on screen, as it is shot in first person. Both animes are also directed by anime legends - Jumping's Osamu Tezuka and Eizouken's Masaaki Yuasa. Both animes are also incredibly beautiful and are all about setting.

These are the only two anime-style advertisements that I have included on my MAL page because not only are they beautifully animated, but they also give me joy and excitement for what they are promoting. Rarely have two ads ever gotten so much emotion out of me!

Both focus on an individual member of an orchestra and how they grow as musicians. Cello no Gauche only focuses on one while Hibike Euphonium focuses on multiple members.
