I'd say 2 cups of Gunbuster, 3 is too much. Although, I'll have to check my recipe book...

Hey ho.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.

Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.

The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama

Only three reviews so far (counting yours), so there's room for all of us.

Nice to see another Wonder Showzen fan.

Your argument is perfectly understandable. Frankly, I'm surprised that you appear to have taken so much time to really lay all of this out, so I do very much commend you for that. You've stated your side in a very (refreshingly) eloquent way, so really just thank you for taking the time to do so.

As far as your overall point goes, while I do understand it and think that it has some merit, I also don't think it's necessarily true. It depends really on how strongly you feel about that one aspect, and in this case I do feel quite strongly about it. This might be self-indulgent of me, so apologies in advance, but I wonder if part of what's at play here is that there's a general level of desensitization to murder among viewers, myself included. I wonder whether or not opinions would change if the scene depicted something considered equally heinous, but was something that we're just less-used to being exposed to in the form of anime as the medium. If, for example, instead of going through and systematically slaughtering the family, Hiro found the same girl and had the same conversation with her while he was raping her. Would people still treat that the same way?

But anywell, thank you for the very well-crafted response again! I hope that you too have a pleasant day/evening!

Oh I won't deny that there certainly are a lot of nice things you can take away from Inuyashiki. I don't always like MAPPA's work as a production company, but they do seem to have a really good feel for direction and the more technical aspects of cinematography. That's pretty evident regardless of any of my other feelings.

I would really appreciate it though if you saved your pity for me. My life is pretty great and I get to enjoy a lot of neat things without feeling the need to watch empty violence. If anything, that's what was so disappointing to me about where Inuyashiki's second episode went. They were already doing a nice job of illustrating the emotional disconnect of the character in question before it gradually devolved into more vapid redundancy.

Oh, and thank you for the kind words about my writing!

You know you can change your username (once every month) right?

All you gotta do is go to Account Settings and a "change your username" option should appear.

o_o Btw, did you spell Dunsparce that way intentionally?

=_= I was annoyed when I saw another Pingu in the City review, but when I saw the score and the decently written review, I was like, "Finally!".

Thank you for your fair and justified review of Pingu in the City.
