I have watched a total of zero things this season. The Summer's taking up all my time and I don't even want to bother with the extra distractions. Will look forward to seeing that thing you're working on (should you make it public) and good to know you're doing well. Aria's definitely the MVP so far.
Is Made in Abyss as good as people claim it to be?
I was messing around with my "Recommended Anibloggers" page when I noticed I hadn't seen anything from you on your blog or Twitter in nearly a month. I'm used to sudden blackouts on your blog, but not Twitter. Wanted to see if everything was alright.
"I've seen you championing Tsuki ga Kirei which I need to check out but like the other shows I'm actually enjoying, it seems under-watched and under-discussed if it's good."
Hopefully this isn't a confession that you'd only care to write on what's popular. If everyone shared that mindset, plenty of hidden gems would go completely unnoticed. Also, Tsuki ga Kirei is a nice show, but Sakura Quest has been nearly as nice.
If you wanna wait for the post, I'll likely have that out Sunday. If you wanna know now, I can do that, too:
Finish it.
If the angst really bothers you that much, you may not want to finish it, because that shit goes on throughout the entire series, most notably between episodes 4-8 (hence my tweet). I think the series manages to do a lot of good in-between the horrible, disgustingly edgy lines that makes it worth watching, but MAN is it angsty. I was also playing with the idea of doing an "analytical" post about it, but I don't have enough evidence to compliment the ideas running through my head.
Basically, remove all the annoying angst, and the show's probably a 6.5.
