Yes Gojo <3
Your pfp is also nice ✨

How are you doing?

The one in gif of your previous comment kinda looks like Utahime XD, although she's not exactly (I mean the costume looks so similar 😭)

I've just watched the first episode of Solo Leveling and stopped watching it for now, I'm on a hiatus right now. I didn't drop it exactly; I'll watch it later maybe.
The hiatus is due to a busy college schedule >~<

But if you ask me, I'd recommend you to read the 'Solo-Leveling' manhwa first. Trust me, it's great with some of its own iconic moments. You'll love the character design, art style and the plot. Manhwas in general are faster to read with better art-styles.

From what I've been told by my friends, the anime adaptation hasn't covered every detail/aspect from the manhwa, which is not upto the mark.
It's still worth it. And I've heard mostly positive reviews from anime watchers. So, go for it :)

What about you? Watching anything lately?

Okay so I skimmed through my list and here's what I've got. Let me know if anything looks interesting or if you need some additional info I'd be happy to explain in more detail.

Another: In my opinion it was a good story but the ending left a bit to be desired. Whether it's a "happy" ending is left open to interpretation. Can get quite brutal and gory at times.

Danganronpa: More of a battle royale murder mystery. Bad things definitely happen, however I wouldn't call the ending unhappy.

Darker Than Black: Complex futuristic setting. Confusing at times but it's entertaining most of the time.

Death Parade: This anime is very unique. It asks questions about the meaning of life and death and asks poses some interesting moral dilemmas.

Erased: A classic must watch. Engaging story, the ending is not really what I expected but I wouldn't say it necessarily has a bad ending.

Kaiji: I see you're a fan of One Outs, so this is a definite recommendation. Same kind of mind games and wits and constantly keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Higurashi: Watch the original + Kai (2 seasons 50 eps total). You'll be blown away by how fantastic the story is. The ending is really satisfying too.

Land of the Lustrous: Completely unique, it'll be unlike anything you've ever seen before. Not a finished story unfortunately, so if you want to see more you'll have to pick up the manga.

Made in Abyss: Not a finished story but it's really good, especially the first season imo. More of an adventure mystery with a few psychological elements.

Monster: A classic. Very deep, with multidimensional characters. Engaging plot that keeps throwing curveballs so you never know what to expect.

Parasyte: A modern classic. It's got everything: Gore, mystery, character development, good music and an insanely well written story.

Shinsekai Yori: This is my #1 recommendation. One of my favourite anime ever. I can't really put it into words. It's something you have to experience.

Steins;Gate: Another classic. You won't regret it.

Summertime Rendering: I wasn't the biggest fan of it but alot of people loved it so I'm recommending it anyway. And it does have that happy ending you're looking for.

Zaregoto / Kubikiri Cycle: Very unorthodox but in a good way. If you've ever seen the Monogatari series this will feel familiar to you. Great character exploration and interesting psychological themes.

Hey, it's nice to meet you! That's a fairly specific request but I'll have a look at my list. There might be some stuff you've already watched so keep that in mind.

No problem and I idk I liked it at first but I get uninterested easily like with a lot of other anime’s aswell that’s why I don’t rate a lot of the anime I’ve dropped, it’s kinda unfair

OMG THAT LEVI IS SO CUTE, THANK YOU!!

btw, let me know about your progress in manhwa and the topics to discuss, would do so gladly!

Hey! omg Bokutooo!!!

back to the original question. Omniscient Reader is a good action-filled manhwa! the MC (Dokja) is likeable and there are some other characters that are worth rooting for though I would say that for 30+ chapters the plot and the characters are NOT THAT stretched out which is not exactly what I like. I do prefer stories to be more character driven, so that might be a bit of a downside. I have been told it gets better in later chapters.

as I am always taking things very seriously, let me put it like this :D:
+ action packed
+ game-style, the characters feel like they are evolving because they actually are. they get points, can improve your gear and all that which makes it really fun to read! (but also, let´s be fair here, most manhwas sort of have this "isekai-like" plot line where a character suddenly appears in a game
+ some constellations are funny and their names too
+ Dokja is insanely cool and that other guy too

- this might actually be a con or a pro depending on whether you mind it or not, but there is a lot of violence and gore (I personally don´t mind it, BUT I can understand how someone else might be surprised by it)
- you get to learn about characters way slower than it could be to my personal liking (again personal thing though, someone else might not mind it)

I would definitely recommend if you are looking for something action packed ! the story draws you in!
but it´s not like super-deep or "never have been done before" (if you are looking for anything like that it might be a bit of a disappointment)

hope it helps!

I see only good choices in your character favs!

best regards

p.s. hope the fr is ok, but feel free to ignore it !
