According to Tokyo Shoko Research, anime production studio Future Planet Co.
has gone bankrupt on September 29th. The total amount of debt is one billion yen ($12.3million). Future Planet launched China-Japan joint anime project Saikyou Bushouden - Sangoku Engi
in 2005, but the huge production cost, which is estimated to be more than 200 million yen ($2.4million), had become burden for the company. Moreover, the delay in the airing of the anime in Japan had upset their financial plan. Future Planet fired all the employees on July 31st.
