Aniplex Establishes 3DCG Animation Studio Subsidiary
Aniplex Inc. (Aniplex) announced the establishment of a subsidiary 3DCG animation studio, Boundary Inc. (Boundary), yesterday on April 1 in Japan. Aniplex producer Akira Shimizu was named president of the subsidiary, which was funded entirely by Aniplex with 100 million yen (approximately US$933,900) in capital and will be located in Nakano, Tokyo.
Aniplex was founded in September 1995 under Sony Music Entertainment Japan, and oversees the planning, production, and distribution of anime—some of its well-known titles include Angel Beats!, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Gintama, the Monogatari series, and Swort Art Online. Animation studios A-1 Pictures and CloverWorks—the later a division of the former until October 2018—operate under Aniplex, and last September the company teamed with Sony Pictures Television in a streaming merger that joined its Australia-based Madman Anime Group and France-based Wakanim with Sony Pictures Televisions' Funimation. Aniplex also licenses and distributes anime in America through its subsidiary Aniplex of America.
Boundary isn't Aniplex's first foray into CG production; it established the visual and CG production and license management subsidiary company Rialto Entertainment in October 2018.

I'll keep an eye on them mainly because I don't mind 3DCG anime as much as others. With that said, uh yeah this looks a lot like something I'd expect from Angel Beats with that logo.

Will this subsidiary studio gonna make their CG anime or they will only be supporting studio for productions that needs CG? Hope they deliver a decent CG like Polygon pictures.

I'm worried that it will bee used on a future Idolm@ster anime, I don't want Million Live to have CG performances.

more 3DCG anime might be because animation production with it is so fast (gonna meet that deadlines) and it needs fewer staff so those staff can have higher salaries and it will become cheaper (ye 3DCG is expensive right now) as Moores Law continues

interesting, I'm looking forward to seeing what they produce.
CGI has been making leaps and bounds these last few years, so I hope Aniplex can follow suit
