Second Season of Kodomo no Jikan Announced

The official site for the anime series Kodomo no Jikan announced that there will indeed be a second season for the anime. It has been titled "Second Term" and a promotional DVD will be packaged with the shipment of the manga's fifth volume on July 11th.

Kokujin: To me,with 55 minutes for the first realease, it looks like it will be at least 6 episodes, plus a special meaning 7 in total. (Though of course we'd prefer story over filler.)

According to Moonphase Diary and the official Kodomo no Jikan website, the LE sixth volume of the Kojika manga will be bundled with a 25-minute episode; based on the “Kagami Kuro (Kuro-chan) × Shirai-sensei (Shiro-chan)” storyline — to be released January 21st. The OP and ED of the new Kodomo no Jikan Second Term series will also be featured…

Kodomo no Jikan Second Term will be a 3-part OVA series focusing on the events of the fourth grade. Volume I of the new sequel is scheduled for release February 20th. . .

OVA Release Schedule:

Volume 1 - February 20th, 2009 (55-minutes; 6,300 yen)
Volume 2 - April 24th, 2009
Volume 3 - June 26th, 2009

Good news, we finally know when the season starts. Bad news:

1.) Only three goddamn episodes?

2.) The releases will be two months apart?

Man, this had better be worth the wait.

This show is like 90% Drama, 5% Ecchi and 5% Comedy.
The Ecchi isn't even worth mentioning.

Great news wasn't expecting much from the first season but was really surprised at how good it was.

If anyone is looking for the uncensored first season Loli-pop Subs released a good quality torrent.

"Kodomo no Jikan" actually isn't a piece of crap... It's quite good if you get past the ecchi things. (Honestly, I didn't find it to be all that horribly perverted anyway; and I watched the uncensored version.)

Anyway, a second season sounds good. I'd like to see that when it's subbed.

3.) The penis will no longer be referred to as a "that"

4.) The word "lolicon" will actually be allowed past the censors more than once.

Wow, this got a second season? I'm amazed. Not 'cause I had a low opinion of the show (haven't seen it), but just 'cause I remember at first it had a lot of problems even getting aired. Makes me wonder. Either it got its stuff together and was crazy popular (entirely possible...Japan loves its lolis) or it really doesn't take much to get a second season of something. Hm.
