hmm the iron man preview was rock solid. it looks wicked. Wolverine on the other hand looks lame. he might not look like the traditional badass we are used to but how many times do we fuk up foreign characters when we Americanize them. it should be interesting.

They destroyed Wolverine....

Iron Man was ok....

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

So they're making a Wolverine and X-Men anime? It would have been nice if they spread things out a bit more and went with something else. Then again I guess these are more popular :/

Oh well I'm more excited for Iron Man even though the trailer was average. I don't even know what to say about Wolverine...

Marvel seems to be on a high lately, they came out with 2 movies last year, and a couple of films are already under production and now these animes.

The Iron Man trailer looks awesome, Wolverine looks *shit*.

Is that actually supposed to be Wolverine? I mean, I see the claws... but what's with the hair? And why is he in Japan fighting... forget it. Screw them for getting my hopes up for a minute. :-p

Interesting.
Although I'm not a fan of either Iron Man or X-men I'm definitely gonna check this out because it's MADHOUSE. Iron Man looks pretty boring though... Wolverine is awesome (and that's because he's NOT like the original).

I'm fine with it not being the same as the original, but if that's what they call a fight, then I can't imagine it actually being worth my time. Also not sure how I feel about them knocking 10-15 years off his apparent age, but that's a minor quibble.

its meant for Japanese audiences, so they set in Japan. the same way "The Magnificent Seven" was originally an Asian film and got remade as an American one.

Eh, neither the Iron Man trailer (and I've been a fan of Iron Man since I was a kid) or Wolverine really got me, but X-Men could be made into an anime, and well at that. But Blade....I thought we finally got away from it after that horrible TV series tanked >_>.

If Wolverine is fighting in Japan (I haven't seen the trailer), this is not entirely odd considering his past...
Your search on "Oran Solus" returned the following quotes:
"Oran Solus? I know him. What a wanker. He still owes me a tenner." Oscar Wilde
"Oran, you're so intelligent and awesome <3" Bakayaro
"Oran's sexy." LolitaDecay
"Oran is a sophisticated penguin." Drybananna
"Oran is a Hand-Eye you faggots." EddieSpaghetti
"Oran for Prime Minister." the_prime_one
"Oran is all that is stated in his sig and more." orbitzz

The animation looks good but..

About Iron Man.. Since when was there a green-haired lady in it? And is that guy who transformed into a machine one of the characters? I have never seen either of them before.

As for Wolverine, the guy looks like a ninja. It doesn't seem like X-Men at all. It seems like a new-type ninja anime with enhanced animation.

I might watch Iron Man but chances are slim. Never was really interested in the Marvel series.

well the fact that its an anime take on Wolverine i think mixing it with some hot ninja action and its epic win. and changing his look up is actually refreshing.

as for the iron man one it look like it will be very cliche just as the trailer was. but i will probably watch it was the animation was fantastic and i am a big madhouse supporter.

though i might skip the blade one cause blade was only cool cause of Wesley Snipes

I liked the Iron Man one. I'll still check out the Wolverine one when it comes out though.

It's not the usual look that we usually see for Wolverine but it's different, and I appreciate that they're trying something different with it.

Wolverine looks awesome, I dunno why people are hating on it. The character has become stale, I like seeing a new direction. Iron Man shows promise, but it all depends on whether his humor finds its way into the anime as well.

What I'm concerned about are the voices. Will it be English? Engrish? or good ol' Japanese.. In my opinion this will play an important factor if they choose the right language to convey it and do it well. But, all we can do is WAIT and SEE.

Same here; its a different take on it so the new design is pretty nice.

I was wondering about this exact same thing as I watched the trailers. I honestly have no idea which language I'm hoping for, but I am really excited for both. Can't wait to see the other two trailers as well.
Although, can someone tell me what Blade is? I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with that one.

As long as Marvel has a good handle on this series, it could be a nice project to introduce these characters into anime.

Considering parts of Wolverines back story involves time spent in japan, it isnt a shock that the anime would take place in japan as well

I agree. Iron Man looks good.

I never thought the comic style can be adapted to anime style.

Wolverine looks terrible.

Iron Man looks like it could be good though.

But for comic-related anime i am more interested in this 'hero man' anime being made by Bones and Stan Lee.

Trailers didnt thrill me very much.

I am abit confused, particurly with wolverine, complete different characteristics & hes fighting supernatural alien looking spirits? not having read the comic books and only seen the x-men movies, whats the deal?

That Wolverine doesn't look as mainly and crazy a wolverine should. Imagine him saying bub or asking for beer O.o

Don't recommend me something that is still publishing, unless its close to being finished. Don't recommend me anything that isn't licensed.

These trailers contain no storyline details at all... they are just animation tests with random scenes. Bassically the scenes in trailers will...remain in them...

As for Wolverine - it will supposedly be based on his time in Japan. He spent a lot of time there. ;]

Its the place where he

Japan is also the place where he trained himself in martial arts.

I dunno about anyone else, but my main problem with it was the pathetic way the handled the fight choreography, its like they weren't even trying :/

they both look pretty mediocre. the animation style in both looks similar to hellsing style, but it doesn't look like it's done very well.

Iron Man looks good, so does Wolverine but when you think that thing is not wolverine, that is. :S

Animation in both anime is a promising feature for me to be watching it when the time comes.

They both look quite interesting to me, because I like to see different interpretations of characters... but they're just trailers, so I'll wait for the actual anime before starting to feel disappointed XD

Iron Man looks like it would be good. I like Iron Man after seeing the movie that came out a few years back. I'll most likely see the anime.

Wolverine, on the other hand. To begin, I like Wolverine. I liked all three X-Men movies and even enjoyed X-Men Origins Wolverine to a point. This Wolverine anime looks bad. The fight they showed in the trailer was a terrible excuse for one. That's not Wolverine, that's someone or something pretending to be Wolverine and failing.

I do want to see how the X-Men and Blade animes work out, especially Blade. I actually was a fan of the live action Blade series.

Both look crappy but at least Wolverine doesn't look so lame anymore. The animation on both is weird...it doesn't flow right. The fights on both looked kinda stale. Like nobody was actually in the mood for a fight there. >.<

2009 looks like the year anime studios want to make money :)

You all say you wont watch but for everyone 1 person that doesnt watch it ~100,000 others will.

And its MADHouse, how bad can it be.

If witchblade was any indication on how they'd draw up the comic industry... im all for it.
