Evangelion 2.22 DVD & Blu-ray Release Date Confirmed

According to Animage March 2010 issue, DVD and Blu-ray of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance was announced to be released on May 26th. The animations will be digitally revised and it's designated as "Evangelion 2.22".

Yeah, I'm still waiting on the english version. Would REALLY like to know when this is supposed to be happening!!

Also, for anyone interested in picking up the blu-ray of 1.11, Amazon US has it on sale right now for $13.99 before shipping. After shipping, I think mine came up to about $18. It also does have dual audio, and subs.

D-RAWS have muxed the BD raw with the subtitles and its out now :D I'm going to wait till a more complete subbed version has come out now though.

True, nobody likes Shinji, which I hear is intended. Congrats on that nice frame, Misato is definitely my favorite from Evangelion :)

Yup, find the mistake :

Evangelion 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (DVD 720x480 [16.9] AC3 48MHz) / Size = 4,36GB
Evangelion 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance (BD 1920x1080 H.264 AAC 2ch+5.1ch) / Size = 3.88GB

One is a DVDISO, the other a BDrip. The difference in size isn't actually that surprising since one is encoded/compressed and the other isn't. The BDrip won't be pristine but it'd be good enough for the majority of people.

Well, this DVD-rip was apparently taken from some preview-DVD given out to movie-reviewers or something. Technically, the actual release-date is still 2 days away, so it makes sense that there's no BluRay-rip out yet.
