Kyoto Animation announces CLANNAD AFTER STORY

According to the Dengeki G's Magazine 2008 May issue, Kyoto animation will make the second season of CLANNAD titled "CLANNAD AFTER STORY". The voice actors and the production staffs are the same as the first season. Director Ishihara wondered whether they should finish the CLANNAD anime at the end of Nagisa's main arc or continue to the after story, but they decided to make the second season after long discussions.

There are so many unreliable information about when it will start and how long it is. Seems like it will start this summer and it's 12-13 episodes.

8th vol of CLANNAD DVD includes "Tomoyo another story" (not "Tomoyo after"), kind of supplement of Tomoyo's arc.

As for the preview, it does look great ! There hasn't been any HQ ones released on youtube yet though, D: I seriously can't wait for this to air! Looks like we get to learn about Tomoya's past, the young girl and robot, but I still haven't seen company and friends. I'm hoping Fuuko may awaken, but I wish for too much, I'm just glad I get to see more Nagisa <3

Great. With this, Friday is officially my favorite day of the week.^_^

CLANNAD ~After Story~ is definitely my most anticipated show this Fall.
Even better, my final exam will be over in Fall. So, no more studying and I can enjoy my anime full time.
This Fall is going to be awesome!

The official Japanese website of the Clannad After Story anime series has been revamped and is now streaming a promotional video. The site also confirmed that the anime will premiere in October on the TBS, MBS, and CBC broadcast stations and the BS-i satellite station in Japan. The series adapts the popular romance visual novel franchise from the software developer Key (Air, Kanon). There was an earlier Clannad television series in 2007.
