Manga 'Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru' Gets TV Anime

An official website opened for a television anime adaptation of Kagiri Araido's Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru manga on Wednesday and revealed a teaser visual (pictured).

Araido began drawing the romantic comedy manga on their official Twitter and pixiv accounts in October 2019 and then serialization on Comic Aruna in August last year. Kadokawa published the sixth volume on October 21 and will release the seventh volume on August 16. Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru has a cumulative of over one million copies in print and digital.

Synopsis
Shouzou and Ine Saitou have been happily married for as long as they can remember. Even in their old age with wrinkles and cracking limbs, the strength of this love is evident by their precious bond. And then, randomly one day, they wake up to find they are young again!

Despite their newfound youthful and attractive bodies, Shouzou and Ine remain the same as ever. Jiisan Baasan Wakagaeru follows the young old couple as they go about their daily lives, spend time with family, and defy the expectations of the youngsters. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Really happy that this got an adaptation . Those who feel that their tastes are too elite for them to watch this anime can do us a favor and freely avoid both the manga and anime.....

This a weird one to get an adaptation tbh. it's more or less pixiv shorts in length so idk how much they'll fit into each episode

then again, small senpai is currently airing so i guess it'll be similar to that. still a cute series tho

So happy that this romcom is getting an anime adaptation!
I've never read the Manga yet since I'm waiting for it to finish so I can binge it to completion, but I enjoyed Kagiri Araido's first manga 'I Want to Get Along With My Childhood Friend' and expect this Manga to be potentially great if not at least enjoyable for what it is.

Are you talking about Inuyashiki?

Its the only one i think that was aired in that year that the main character was an elderly protagonist ,so yes

It is a manga with episodic story. Anyway, good that they will adapt it!
