'Sand Land' Reveals Main Staff, Cast, First Trailer

The official website of the Sand Land anime movie adaptation revealed on Monday the main cast, staff, and a trailer. The movie is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on August 18.

Thief: Cho (One Piece)
General Are: Satoshi Tsuruoka (Fate/Zero)
General Zau: Nobuo Tobita (Hellsing Ultimate)

Director: Toshihisa Yokoshima (Cocolors)
Direction Advisor: Hiroshi Koujina (Hunter x Hunter (2011) director)
Script: Hayashi Mori (Ame wo Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi)
Sound Director: Yoshikazu Iwanami (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV))

The anime adapts Akira Toriyama's short fantasy adventure manga, which serialized in the Weekly Shounen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha shipped the volume in November of the same year. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English and released the volume in December 2003.

I think the CGI looks fine.

I don't know, the thing with the Super Hero style is that it wasn't even good CGi, it looked more like cutscenes from a PS2 game :(

The trailer looks really pleasant. The manga was really entertaining to read. It's really cool that after all these years, an old work created by Toriyama-sensei is getting its anime adaptation; and on top of that, we are talking about a movie format, not TV series done with small budget only to exist pro forma.
