Manhwa 'Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp' Gets TV Anime

Kadokawa opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Yuin and mini's Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp manhwa and revealed the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured) on Tuesday.

The fantasy romance series originally began as a novel by Yuin on the KakaoPage web novel website from December 2015 to November 2017.

mini began drawing manhwa adaptation on the same platform from September 2017 to February 2021. Kadokawa acquired the manhwa and published the first volume in August 2019. The seventh volume was released in February 2022, and the eighth volume is set for a March 3 release.

Synopsis
Dr. Song Jihyun is considered a prodigy among Korean surgeons, known for her skill in saving patients no matter their condition. In her past life as Elise de Clorance, the ill-mannered wife of the emperor, her jealousy and greed had led to the loss of her loved ones and—ultimately—her death. For that reason, she vowed to now save lives instead of destroying them.

After a fatal plane crash, Elise finds herself once again in her former body. With her previous knowledge of modern medicine and now a chance at mending her mistakes, she is determined to contribute to the empire as a medic in this life. But will Elise be able to avoid her engagement to Prince Linden de Romanoff, the man she had loved to the point of her own demise? [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Its fantastic another korean shoujo gets adapted! Am also not sure if I will watch this because I didn't get in to the manga tho.

I also like Who made me a princess and some other stuffs really expected that these will got adapted 1st but I guess not still if Raeliana and Elise can get adapted than I can keep some hope for the rest cuz theres way more good stuff out there

This manwha is very promising and I have been wanting to read it for awhile, it getting an anime is surprising and exciting BUT this studio is very lacking and I dunno if the director will be able to do a good adaptation. :/

Based on my search, it is a popular web novel + webtoon, but a bit of an inaccurate storyline and some weaker side character developements.

I think the Japanese aninated version will correct a lot of things.

i hear this one, despite the doctor in it's name, was not really medicine oriented, it's mostly only used for tools to make female lead OP and make her always right. also become reverse harem later on. so i have been avoiding it. someone can correct me on this one tho. i just hear this thus avoid it.
