Don't take my words out of context so rudely. Obviously I was talking about all game animation, not just CGI music videos. And if your answer is four or five times the length of my short comment, then you are doing something wrong.

Every major Idolmaster game had 3D character models. And I was referring to your argument about how people won't hate this adaptation because Million Live was a 3D game. Forgive me if I sounded rude, I had no such intention.
All of these games still have a 2D VN element. At least CG and SC. Theater has always used animation to its fullest, so I don't think most people will complain.

1st Idolmaster is definitely the best idol anime that I've ever watched.
But 3DCG? No, thanks. I'll pass on it. What a shame.

People won't hate you because this part of the franchise is itself a full 3D game. The rest depends on the studio, Bandori and D4DJ are adapted by the same studio, part of the shares of which are owned by Bushiroad.
Every Idolmaster game was a full 3D game. What kind of argument is this?
Franchise as big as Idolmaster should get proper anime adaptation instead of half assed 3D shit. I'd be fine if only the performances were done in 3D (but I still prefer something as beautiful as Shine Post was and I'd take something like this over 3D shit any time). But full 3D? It's way too jarring for me to watch it. Especially since the animation is almost as bad as in any 3d anime. Just look how stiff and slow-motion like it looks. Of course, I realize that some people can be fine with something like this. But for me it's unwatchable. What's even more amusing is that the animation in the mobile game (which this adaptation is based on) looks way better and more lively than everything showed on the anime PV. Which is happening all over again. Nier Automata is the same. 3D animation done on in game engine looked way better than shitty 3D anime adaptation.
excuse me for my lack of knowledge, im still relatively new to the franchise. But isn't this anime adapting the ML social game that precedes Theater Days? afaik that one didn't have 3D animation. And imo id still give this anime a chance since it at least looks better than average. Animation might even be better during the lives like bandori

Shirogumy can make as good CGI as Sanzigen. Of course, Orange is the best in industry but I will say these two are second best.
The main thing is to do it, and not argue on the Internet about whether they can.

People will hate me for this but tt's good they are doing this adaptation in full CGI. Because one of the main selling points of any musical animes are peformances and they are way easier to make in 3DCGI (and so you can make way more of them and not just sparce ones like in forementioned Cinderella Girls). And as Bang Dream and D4DJ shown, it looks way less junky if the show itself is also in 3DCGI.

Of course the very first IM@S managed to do it pretty good with 2D and Love Live manages to combin 2D and 3D pretty good but in most of cases animation team just o not have this amount of production resources.

I would love it if they air it at the same time as Bleach. Anyway, given the experience we have with CG (192 idols), with too many characters were there and not enough development, I still back ML to deliver.
From the trailer, I can understand many of the content it will air, mostly will come from the original manga. Here praying it will have many arcs base on other manga too, it’s not likely to be that way. 13 idols in there are main characters in 4 mangas remember that.

Did you dislike that much that the CG adaptation only focused on one unit and three characters?
Yeah as they were not the best choices at all, just bland overall when there are dozens of fun characters to choose from.
Well, I think these are typical consequences for adapting a game with such a huge cast. I'm still a little frustrated that both Azur Lane anime only showed the most meme and mainstream girls.

Whole cast?  Excellent.

The creators learned their lesson from Cinderella Girls, god that was a disaster.

I'm not a big fan of this version, but I was about to rewatch the original anime recently, so why not? I hope that the adaptation of the loli manga will also not be long in coming
Any iDOLM@STER content is always good. and I'm pretty sure since U149 is airing in April (and if it's only 1 cour), we're pretty much having at least 1 im@s-related anime airing at a time for the rest of the year

I just hope Shiny Colors gets some sort of anime as well. maybe after Million Live anime
I agree, for me, IMAS has always been a symbol of perfect and completely professional idol content. Already in April? Damn, it's really soon.

I think that Colors anime is already a matter of the near future. Though I didn't think they would choose Theater over them for the next full game adaptation.
