The SK∞ Week Special Event at the Palette Civic Theater in Okinawa on Sunday confirmed the new anime as a second season and new original video anime. The event also revealed an announcement promo.

Hiroko Utsumi (Banana Fish) is returning to direct both anime at Bones. Ichirou Ookouchi (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri) and Michinori Chiba (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans) are also returning to handle the series composition and character designs, respectively.

SK∞ (SK8 the Infinity) aired in 12 episodes on the ANiMAZiNG!!! programming block on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and 24 affiliated channels in Winter 2021. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and streamed it on Funimation with subtitles and later with an English dub. The company released the anime on home video on June 14.

Kazuto Kohjima began a manga adaptation on BookLive's e-book store under Live Comics in March 2021. The seventh volume shipped last November.

Kadokawa's Young Ace UP website serialized a comedy spin-off manga by Toriyasu from January to September last year. The manga was collected into one volume in October that year.

Lol, did Ichiro-san write that? I can't even imagine how his favorite tropes would work in a hasubendo-bait show like this.

Isn't Code geass and devilman crybaby a hasubendo-bait shows?

If for you hasubendo-bait = any show whose male characters can appeal to a female audience in general, then yes. At the same time, both shows are predominantly oriented towards the male audience and attract the female audience mainly because of the attractive design and shipping.

I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't shocked to see that this got a second season....I thought that the first one ended pretty conclusively so I'm hella curious to see what they're gonna do for the new season

The Mighty Duck Syndrome, when the sequel cancels all the achievements of the original show, appeared precisely thanks to sports films, if anything, lol.
Praying that this doesn't happen lol

That's sick, I'm glad it's getting another season. I'm probably going to wait to watch it dubbed this time around though, because the humor added seemed absolutely hilarious.
