Voice Actress Riho Iida Announces Marriage

Voice actress Riho Iida announced her marriage to a man outside of the industry on Twitter on Saturday.

"Although I am still inexperienced, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me thus far. I want to grow even more as a person and as an artist," she said in a handwritten post. "I would be grateful if you continued to watch over me warmly. Thank you for your continued guidance and encouragement."

Iida began her career as a child actress in her second year of elementary school, making her debut in the Hyakunen no Monogatari (The Story of One Century) television drama in 2000. She appeared in the Tensai TV-kun television program on NHK-E for four years beginning 2002, coming into the spotlight.

In 2010, Iida debuted as a voice actress in the Love Live! School Idol Project franchise as the character Rin Hoshizora. She formed the 4to6 duo with fellow voice actress Pile (Maki Nishikino) in 2014 and became a member of the mini unit Lily White with Aina Kusuda (Nozomi Toujou) and Suzuko Mimori (Umi Sonoda) within the Love Live! franchise.

Outside of the Love Live! franchise, Iida also performed theme songs for multiple anime series, including Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters (Digimon Universe App Monsters), Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet (Boarding School Juliet), and King's Raid: Ishi wo Tsugumono-tachi.
