An anime and manga adaptation of Kenichi Kakutani's Joshikousei to Mahou no Note: Otona mo Shiranai Yume no Mitsukekata (High School Girl and the Magic Notebook: How to Find Dreams Even the Adults Don’t Know) book was announced at this year's Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair on Saturday.

The anime project, titled Joshikousei to Mahou no Note (High School Girl and the Magic Notebook), is being produced by animation studio Noovo and will premiere in Spring 2022. The CG anime will be screened in Kyoto and will also be uploaded on YouTube.

Kakutani, the president of the health supplement company Wakasa Seikatsu, published the first book in July last year. The second volume shipped on July 17.

A five-chapter manga adaptation of the books will be serialized on the Wakasa Seikatsu Bookstore website. The first chapter was released on Saturday, coinciding with the announcement.

Synopsis
The story follows Yuzuki Shidou, a second-year high school student who can't find what she wants to do. One day, a fairy named Buruburu suddenly appears before her and teaches her how to find and fulfill her dreams.

Judging by the synopsis, this is aimed at older adolescents, but for some reason at the same time it sounds like a collection of children's books.

We already had "High School Boy and the Magic Notebook" or something like that and it was pretty good.

interested by the fact that this is being done from a pretty new studio (seems they have only worked on one show prior to this one), wonder how this will come out
