'Phantom in the Twilight' Original TV Anime Announced for Summer 2018

The NBCUniversal Entertainment booth at AnimeJapan 2018 announced an original anime titled Phantom in the Twilight on Sunday, which will be developed in China and Japan. The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji in July 2018, among other stations. Happy Elements opened an official website for the anime, revealing a key visual (pictured).

Synopsis
Set in modern day London, the story takes place in a world where "Shadows" are born from human fear and anxiety. A young girl arrives to study abroad, only to be caught in a bizarre incident as she enters university. In a city with no acquaintances, the helpless girl wanders into "Café Forbidden," a mysterious café that exclusively opens at midnight. She meets an assortment of handsome men employed at the café, where guardians who protect the boundary between humans and shadow convene.

Haruta Mayuzumi launched a manga adaptation of the series on March 25 on the digital comic platform LINE Manga, with two chapters released every Sunday. Production and publishing company Movic will also release goods related to the franchise on the animate stores beginning July.

Kinda surprised this isn't an otome game but it's actually an original title. I hope there's some emphasis on the characters unlike Dance with Devils, which had potential but was generally lackluster. Anyway the premise and key visuals are to my liking so I am looking forward to it~

Key visual and cast looks interesting. Maybe since it's an original anime, there is some kind of hope for a decently structured plot from start to finish. I won't hold my breath, but will definitely watch for the voice acting and hopefully some pretty art to go with.

This looks interesting... It's an original reverse harem anime? That's rare. I might give this one a try. The synopsis really sounds like Persona 3 though...

HanaKana (in the middle), Sugita-san (kurokami with bang covering his eyes at the back), Sakurai-san (kinpatsu at the front right), Okamoto (ginpatsu at the front left) and Midoriya shounen. This better be good! I don't care if this is similar to otomege and those reverse harems. I mean the creators are otomege company.

I already like Ton in the middle! The fact that she is 18 is already an improvement! :D

I was thinking the same thing! Persona 3, otome-style! I just started giggling halfway through the synopsis because I was having deja vu. XD

Jokes aside, it sounds cool and that key visual looks neat, so I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
