Manga 'Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san' Receives TV Anime

Kodansha announced on Saturday that Keigo Maki's Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san (Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie) manga is receiving a television anime adaptation.

Synopsis
Shikimori seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be... but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens! (Source: Kodansha Comics)

Maki originally serialized the romantic comedy manga on Twitter under the title Kawaii dake ja Nai Onnanoko Manga in September 2018 before it was picked up by Magazine Pocket in February 2019. Kodansha will publish the seventh volume on January 8. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English last March and published the second volume on December 26.

This! Not just the vibe, but the fact that both of them are "overprotective to do anything out of length for their bf".

Hell yeah. Shikimori is top tier waifu. She's hot and cute at the same time. One of those rare times where I actually want someone to step on me. Looking forward to this.

No, the series is way more wholesome than that. If you imagine a stereotypical romance scenario where the girl is in danger of being splashed by a car driving by after the rain, and the guy rushes in to shield her, that's the sort of "cool" that Shikimori is.

But not to oversimplify. Both Shikimori and Izumi have their times to be cool and their times to be cute.

Ye like Ikeburo West Gate Park from last season which honestly was so underwhelming. The show was quite promising at start but by the end it was a dissapointment. Thou yeah I like all their moe stuff too.

Was that their show? Lol, without any information, it looked like an anime that MAPPA could have made with the pizza-free money. Well, that is like Zamurai, lol.
