The fifth anniversary event for Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru (Yuki Yuna is a Hero) announced a third anime season on Saturday. The new season will air under the title Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou (Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Great Full Blossom Chapter).

Staff
Director: Seiji Kishi (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru, Tsuki ga Kirei)
Series Composition, Script: Makoto Uezu (Akame ga Kill!, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!)
Character Design, Chief Animation Director: Takahiro Sakai (Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san, Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shou)
Music: Keiichi Okabe (Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Yuusha no Shou), MONACA (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.)
Studio: Studio Gokumi

Illustrators D.K and JWWorks are once again credited for the concept art.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru premiered in Fall 2014 as the fourth installment of the Takahiro IV media project. The first half of the second season adapted Takahiro and illustrator BUNBUN's Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de Aru (Washio Sumi is a Hero) prequel light novel, which received limited screenings in theaters between March and July 2017 prior to their television broadcast in Fall that year. The second half (pictured right) served as a direct sequel to the first season.

Touko Kanno (Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate) drew a manga adaptation in Dengeki G's Comic from December 2014 to August 2018. Kadokawa published the fifth and final volume the following month. The franchise inspired several light novels and spin-offs, which ran in the Dengeki G's Magazine.

Crunchyroll simulcast the first season as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USA licensed the anime series and released the first season with an English dub in three home video volumes between April and August in 2015.

Well, after such an asspull ending for both season, when girls recovered their body functions due to Deus Ex Machina, I thought it will be quite a challenge to make a decent sequel, but looks like they are up to a challenge.

Just because you didn't understand it doesn't mean it was deus ex machina.

After rewatching it I still stand by my point.

This anime is definitely a Yuri . Even if that makes the Yuri police here very sad and upset Lol .How about acutely watch the previous Yuuki Yuuna before having opinions about the Yuri content to be or not to be?

Anyhow I have watched all the previous episodes. And Tougou acutely said earlier . That she dont like males or wanna marry one, its not for her. Then the other girl ask her. But you wanna marry me right?. And she answered . Yes. you on the other hand would be very acceptable wife. A female that have zero interest in males . But wanna marry another girl what is that called?. Oh yeah a lesbian =P

So this anime have lesbians in it, and is a Yuri. And I cant wait to see my wonderful magical lesbians again =)

As a long time and a big fan of Yuusha de aru franchise for a pretty much long time (and even i followed Yuusha de aru fanclub for updates), i actually quite a bit dissapointed hearing that they make this anime as a sequel of YuYuYu Yuusha no shou, instead of adapting NoWaYu into anime. From my point of view, if they want to continue their Yuusha no shou sequel by making this story, they have to think very hard, extra smart, and creative to make this sequel even more believable and make sense, otherwise, they will make a lot of plot holes and story confusion.

If they want to play safe, they should adapt NoWaYu to anime, to make things more interesting, believable, and also to make this whole heroic story in this whole Yuusha de aru franchise to be even more understandable, instead of making this Dai Mankai no Shou as their sequel, but, hey! At least it's better than have nothing at all. I am glad they put some love again to this franchise after a long time hiatus, and it makes me excited again. I hope this sequel will turned out to be an interesting sequel about a heroic struggle of humanity restoration without the help of Shinju-sama.

Thank you Studio Gokumi staffs for making this sequel. May the Shinju-sama always bless you and guides you to the right path so y'all can make the story interesting and engaging as a gift to us, who wanted YuYuYu sequel and prequel for a long time.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS?!

I am so excited!

Although while I felt like the ending of S2 was pretty good considering it sorted some loose ties, I am interested regardless.

I will watch it for I enjoyed all yuyuyu material. The people who say the endings were deus ex machina didn't watch the anime and had their eyes glued to tougo's chest.

It also doesn't mean that it wasn't that. Hell, his comment didn't mention why he thinks so at all.

I recall not being impressed by season 1, but I should watch season 2 one of these days.

well most things in the anime kinda make sense once you've read the light novels. but i get where you are coming from

Aug 1, 2020 11:30 AM by Sh3nshoujing

Meh, after the asspull of last season I won't bother with this.
I could watch a spin off and the such but I won't bother again with the main girls.

Washio Sumi was better than the second season.

@yuri-crusader Clearly it will be an amazing year or two for yuri.

I understand why Symphogear's fandom eventually turned into a place where people only watch anime because of the yuri, but when I see an anime like this get attitude more and more like that, it only makes me sad. However, as if Takahiro himself did not degrade from a talented and versatile author to a person of culture, who only knows how to create yuri bait.
