New Slayers Fantasy TV Anime Series in the Works

A new series is in the works for Hajime Kanzaka's Slayers fantasy light novels. The series will span 6 months, (26 episodes I'm guessing) but there is no word on when we will see it. It will be directed by Takashi Watanabe who will oversee J.C. Staff, who produced the three previous seasons. There was no confirmation on whether the original cast will once again be featured or if Lina will be the lead character once again.

Funimation and Central Park Media both released the three previous seasons in English in North America.

O.o wow I seriously thought there was no hope for another season since it was previously stated that they could not get all the past voice actors back. This is just great wahahha.

I have the manga series and I've been looking for the anime episodes for ages xD (just found them). The manga is absolutely awesome, I love Lina xD <3
Slayers is a series which never gets old :3.. I'm looking forward to a new season (although I haven't even seen the old ones xD).

THE BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD ALL DAY! (I'm still psyched about Trigun, but Slayers is more exciting to me~ X3)

Wow Slayers~ Dude..what really got me into anime was Slayers! It was all thanks to the International Channel (AZN) that I was able to see this! Too bad it's being canceled in a few months..(RIP IChannel). Megumi Hayashibara was my first J-Pop artist love (now it's Rica Matsumoto xD)~

Slayers was just wow. xD I loved each episode and I remembered watching the marathons late at night before parents yelled at me to go to sleep. It was also my first Japanese with English subtitles anime and it will always be special in my heart.

What a coincidence that I just finished the 5th Light Novel of Slayers today and found this out. Haha. I even got my friend addicted to it and letting her borrow the light novel series. :3 I need to get my hands on vol. 6!

Lina Inverse will always be my favorite sorceress~

I've been on a Slayers Kick myself. I just picked up the box sets of the first two seasons at Katsucon and have been enjoying them. This is well timed news to me.

Okay but what Slayers novel light or not would call itself slayers if it didn't have the main characters of the series...
I would be fine if it only had lina and naga but without lina its a tad hard to call it Slayers...

-ahem-
But aside from that I just hope they dont go making it serious and perfect looking... you know that really new and clean line style that is coming out now... it just wont suit Slayers

Oh and for the note I own all the slayers sets including all the movies and Naga OVAs
