'Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai' Announces Supporting Cast

The Young Jump and Ultra Jump joint booth at the Jump Festa 2019 event announced supporting voice cast for the Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) anime series on Sunday.

Produced by A-1 Pictures with Shinichi Omata (Mamoru Hatakeyama) (Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu) in charge of direction, the anime will begin airing on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 channels on January 12 at 11:30 p.m., followed by MBS, Chukyo TV, TV Niigata, and AT-X.

Nagisa Kashiwagi: Momo Asakura (Charlotte)
Male Student: Taku Yashiro (Mayoiga)
Kei Shirogane: Sayumi Suzushiro (High Score Girl)
Shirogane's Father: Takehito Koyasu (Bakuman)

A pre-screening event featuring the four main cast members Aoi Koga, Makoto Furukawa, Konomi Kohara, and Ryouta Suzuki will take place at the United Cinemas Toyosu theater on January 5, 2019.

Aka Akasaka began serializing the romantic comedy manga in Miracle Jump in May 2015, which later switched to Young Jump in March 2016. Shueisha published the 12th volume on December 19, with the 13th volumes planned for a January 18, 2019 release. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai has a cumulative 3.5 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation, including digital editions.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2018 under its Shounen Jump imprint and published the fifth volume on November 6. The sixth volume will go on sale on January 1, 2019.

I've been anticipated for this for a looooong while. The stuff that I've seen after the first animated PV is getting me very excited. I really hope that the director and the staff can keep things through and up because this manga is good (I need to catch up sure, but still).

Holy crap, Koyasu will be perfect as Shirogane's dad!! The only other comedic dad he voiced (from what I know), is Haruhi's dad from Ouran.
