I hope LWA sells well so we'd get a second season.

Seeing Sakura Quest sell that bad is awfully sad. :(

Can't believe my eyes. Can't believe Sakura Quest sells that badly. We really don't deserve good anime.

Kimi no na wa is totally destroying anime. Now this will serve to encouage other studio to make movies instead of TV shows.

Umm, Boku no hero Academia is unusually low. Why!?

I wonder why Koe no Katachi is selling a bit these weeks. Maybe because it got dragged along with Kimi no Na wa's popularity.

They are like Disney video sales here. People pick them up for gifts or for their kids to watch over the summer break. This happens every week at a low level. When other sales are low enough we see them but they're always selling a few copies here and there. You see more at Christmas of course.

Thanks for the elucidation, this is wonderful though :D
It feels they really are eternal.
Ghibli is essentially over but their works will last forever and their people are still influencing anime! Guess where many of the staff and animators for Your Name came from? It's no surprise it looks great and is a huge commercial success. I love Shinkai Makoto's work but this movie is far superior to his previous work in part because of all the highly talented movie animators who were out of work from Ghibli.

I'm not getting why there are Ghibli films in the dvd ranking, are they being "reprinted"?

Looks like Japan doesn't really like the My Hero Academia anime
