Well, Okobore Hime to Entaku no Kishi managed to rank into top 10 this week. Hope it gets more popular.

I'm also really interested in Ryuuou no Oshigoto!

The only real answer to that is "as much as possible". The sort of sales that would be the borderline between success and failure for a typical light novel would be beyond disastrous for something like Sword Art Online. Sales so far seem to be the equivalent of about a 3% drop on volume 17* (the one before last) which would be pretty decent. Then again volume 17 had a stronger tail than most.

*It's about 1% up on the week 2 end figure, but has 1 fewer day. Volume 18 is not really comparable.

@hattada2 - I know that, and of course that would have some impact. But this is still more of a skew towards earlier volumes than I'd expect even factoring that in.

It's not just 1/2/3 either. The average sales for vols 4-7 this week was barely over 2k (23865 total means 8673 between the latest 4 volumes). For some reason people just aren't buying beyond the first volume or two. Whether this just means that they'll be getting a boost later or if it means that a lot of people just aren't buying the later volumes for whatever reason I don't know.

Have you seen that books, Youjo Senki LN are so thick compare to usual LN, so it is likely many of them have yet to finish reading the early volumes to buy another ones. Many people is likely prefer the manga too hence it also got a nice manga boost despite its original is actually LN

It is also the first arc not based on existing web novel material so everyone is going in blind with this new arc.
