Actor Shunji Fujimura Dies

Actor Shunji Fujimura died at the age of 82 on January 25, 2017 from heart failure. The news was announced by his son during a press conference today on February 1, 2017.

Fujiwara was an actor who was in various TV dramas and movie. He also voiced Tanaka from the Kuroshitsuji series.

Yana Toboso, mangaka of the Kuroshitsuji manga, prayed to Fujiwara on her Twitter and revealed that Tanaka was modeled on him, an old gentleman that she admired when she was young, and there will be no current Kuroshitsuji existing without him.

I knew he looked familiar. He played Watari in the first 3 Death Note LA movies. Damn, my condolences to his family.

When I saw the article photography, I wondered why this news was published on an anime website: I only knew him from the Death Note live adaptation. No wonder, because he is actually more an actor than a seiyû. (I checked his roles)

By the way, I wonder how he ended up playing in Kuro shitsuji)

I have yet to see his work, Black Butler more precisely, but it has to be said that for him to be working as a VA at such a age, he really enjoyed what he was doing, so it is kinda sad he died. RIP
