oh Miyuki certainly has the best chances I'd say. Again, only read up to #17 so the other guy above could know more than I do but

Oh, it looks like I found a new long-playing title, which will not be difficult to see in one gulp or add to favorites. Mayumi? Onee-sama also a good option, but Miyuki already sunk into my heart.

Meanwhile there the hero and his sister really have any feelings to each other, or is it simply a popular joke in the fandom? They're siblings, at least as far as I know.

They are siblings, but they aren't at the sametime, because genetically they can't even be considered cousins, but they have the same parents. Its complicated lol.

Hmm, it looks like I'm definitely not wrong with the choice of the preferred couple ... Well, I will be read and watch, I like complicated romance in the manner of Re: Zero.

mayumi still best but that's like cheering for tsugumi in nisekoi... we all know it's not going to happen. If someone has read #18, #19 or #20 and can confirm that it did happen feel free to message me though :P
And yes I'm aware Nisekoi is over already but spoilers and all.

In any case, even the slightest hope of a better girl, only a positive impact on sales. Look how many fans rushed to the Re:Zero LN, in order to learn the future destiny Rem. Though of course there is always the option to declare Mayumi non-blood related sister

Eh, that's not so high at all.
Are those vol. 3 and 4?

No. I think it's a side series.
Also bear in mind that the anime hasn't started yet.

Except volume 7 came out 6 days early (so that figure is actually for days 3-9, with the total figure being days 1-9) and volume 6's figure is 5 days rather than 3.

Re:Zero most certainly is popular. Volume 1 is closing in on being MF Bunko J's highest recorded sales of a non-Haganai volume ever. And this is for the 3rd biggest light novel label, which has put out more mega-hits in the last decade or so than any other bar Dengeki Bunko. It'll probably get there on the year end rankings*.
34k sales from 3 days is itself pretty damn big. There are only perhaps a dozen ongoing series that could pull that off. The disappointment comes from the fact that people were expecting it to do even better.

*EDIT: or it would if it wasn't for missing data. Now I think about it, it might not actually make it.

i didnt really know about LN publisher or business. just compare it with another big thing like konosuba, sao, overlord, and mahouka. which is this number looks like underwhelming.
also, thanks for correction.

KonoSuba's latest volume (in July) is complicated by a LE that came out in an earlier week but I wouldn't say it sold much differently to this (the RE sold 20% less in an extra 2 days).

There have been more than 2000 light novel releases to date this year. From 3 days this is the 55th bestseller of those to date. Only 204 have recorded sales over 10k, so even that is enough for the top 10%.

I would normally go through counting the number of releases this year that did better than this on their release week, but I'm afraid I don't have time. I would think it would be about 10 or so, of which half would be either Mahouka or SAO.

@Stark700 - what records are they then? Or do you mean Kimi no na wa. ?

Sep 29, 2016 12:19 AM by kuuderes_shadow

Almost forgot about World Teacher this week.

Kotonoha no Niwa could be setting more records soon.

Overlord has the same problem as Mahouka did, though - it comes out towards the end of the week. And Mahouka is a bigger seller than Overlord, so unless Kimi no Na wa. decides it's time to start slowing down then I don't see Overlord taking the top spot.
