Your sales are meant to be going down after 4 weeks at the top, Kimi no Na wa, not up. Damn.
Koe no Katachi appearing there at the bottom too, fighto!

I was more surprised that the literary adaptation of the film sold a lot of times better than the novels who was originally popular as books.

P.S. Sorry for may Enlgish.

I too was confused by that. Angelo says somewhere that it is the 23th and that is confirmed by the publisher too (link in my edited post). I think someone put the wrong date on the wiki.

It's September 23rd... and yes it does seem low.

And as I mentioned, Kimi no Na Wa was actually having stock problems in previous weeks. In fact it is still having stock issues so while it seems surprising that it went up this week, it could actually go up again next week if they can print them fast enough.

WOW ... "Kimi no Na wa" is just insane! I't's like when Attack on Titan hit Japan. Simply crazy! The mind boggles to think what sort of sales the BD's will be when it finally gets released.

There was even an article in BBC News about the Kimi no Na wa phenomenon although they managed to get the details wrong (called it an adaption of a novel which it is not!).

Ignore the wiki. It came out on the 23rd. 25th is the "official" date when MF Bunko J releases come out in the month, which is more a guideline than anything else. This does not correspond to when the books actually come out, which can be anything up to a week earlier, though usually between the 22nd and 25th.

Not only top 4 but also 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12. Rank 7 isn't published under a light novel label either.

Anyway, it's likely we'll see Kimi no Na wa. become the fastest ever volume to a million sales next week. Could we be looking at a new all time bestseller for my rankings list?

Overlord has the same problem as Mahouka did, though - it comes out towards the end of the week. And Mahouka is a bigger seller than Overlord, so unless Kimi no Na wa. decides it's time to start slowing down then I don't see Overlord taking the top spot.

Re:Zero most certainly is popular. Volume 1 is closing in on being MF Bunko J's highest recorded sales of a non-Haganai volume ever. And this is for the 3rd biggest light novel label, which has put out more mega-hits in the last decade or so than any other bar Dengeki Bunko. It'll probably get there on the year end rankings*.
34k sales from 3 days is itself pretty damn big. There are only perhaps a dozen ongoing series that could pull that off. The disappointment comes from the fact that people were expecting it to do even better.

*EDIT: or it would if it wasn't for missing data. Now I think about it, it might not actually make it.

i didnt really know about LN publisher or business. just compare it with another big thing like konosuba, sao, overlord, and mahouka. which is this number looks like underwhelming.
also, thanks for correction.

KonoSuba's latest volume (in July) is complicated by a LE that came out in an earlier week but I wouldn't say it sold much differently to this (the RE sold 20% less in an extra 2 days).

There have been more than 2000 light novel releases to date this year. From 3 days this is the 55th bestseller of those to date. Only 204 have recorded sales over 10k, so even that is enough for the top 10%.

I would normally go through counting the number of releases this year that did better than this on their release week, but I'm afraid I don't have time. I would think it would be about 10 or so, of which half would be either Mahouka or SAO.

@Stark700 - what records are they then? Or do you mean Kimi no na wa. ?

Meanwhile there the hero and his sister really have any feelings to each other, or is it simply a popular joke in the fandom? They're siblings, at least as far as I know.

haven't read past #17 myself yet (I'm not really a big fan myself so I only read when I find it somewhere online), so missing out on #18, #19 and this new one but SHE certainly has the lewds for him.

Hmm, it looks like I'm definitely not wrong with the choice of the preferred couple ... Well, I will be read and watch, I like complicated romance in the manner of Re: Zero.

No. I think it's a side series.
Also bear in mind that the anime hasn't started yet.

For the sake of comparison, the first three day sales of the previous volumes.

22. *7,638 **7,638 Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Vol.6
48. *5,950 **8,817 Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Vol.7
26. *6,978 **6,978 Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Vol.8

Except volume 7 came out 6 days early (so that figure is actually for days 3-9, with the total figure being days 1-9) and volume 6's figure is 5 days rather than 3.
Bestselling light novel volumes of the year/all time* (and more in the same club including weekly series ranks etc). <-- No longer being updated. Sorry.

There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

mayumi still best but that's like cheering for tsugumi in nisekoi... we all know it's not going to happen. If someone has read #18, #19 or #20 and can confirm that it did happen feel free to message me though :P
And yes I'm aware Nisekoi is over already but spoilers and all.

In any case, even the slightest hope of a better girl, only a positive impact on sales. Look how many fans rushed to the Re:Zero LN, in order to learn the future destiny Rem. Though of course there is always the option to declare Mayumi non-blood related sister

The only one who has romantic feelings is Miyuki, Tatsuya's feelings are brothery and platonic. Currently, he's incapable of romantically falling in love with someone emotionally.

They are siblings, but they aren't at the sametime, because genetically they can't even be considered cousins, but they have the same parents. Its complicated lol.

But my hope is still alive, because Miyuki is so cute. Although it may be so Hayami charm effect on me.

oh Miyuki certainly has the best chances I'd say. Again, only read up to #17 so the other guy above could know more than I do but

Oh, it looks like I found a new long-playing title, which will not be difficult to see in one gulp or add to favorites. Mayumi? Onee-sama also a good option, but Miyuki already sunk into my heart.
