Hmm they both are pretty 'generalist' and if you're implying Nyanko Days is more for female readers I beg to differ. It's just that Nukoduke has "harder" gender hooks with the male parental instinct thing for the men and the bromance/ bishounen thing for the ladies.
Nyanko Days "is just more like a laundromat run by genies: wishy washy."

Its published in comic cune, which does have a clear primary audience.
That doesn't mean it innately appeals, on its own, to the same audience the magazine is aimed at. Lots of shit gets initially serialized in magazines simply to fill a slot.
(Not saying this is the case here, I'm just saying that the PUBLICATION'S target audience isn't always in line with its individual counterparts. The only 99% guarantee you will get is that it doesn't conflict with the publication's target audience)
The basis for appeal to demographics can only be drawn from elements is in that isolated manga that are there to appeal to a specific demographic.
This is why demographic tags on MAL are so often so misleading. Obvious shounen stuff has been labeled seinen on multiple occasions and vice versa.
