So happy to see Free! and super lovers in the list!
I hope B-project sell more than that <3
It gets a nice boost after episodes air and it's been ranking pretty nicely lately. Plus it has Animate too where it ranks fairly nicely. I hope it does well. I've been enjoying it, lol.

I can't believe Macross sold exactly 9999 copies, the anti-10k wk1 curse is too strong.
It has not been out for a full week yet, even. It will pass it. And then some. And its already above that with western sales.
So what? Most of its sales were achieved on the 22 like all anime sales. A week is not going to make a huge difference. And stop spouting crap, unless you have proof of these "western sales" they're not a measure of anything nor are they significant since not that much people care about Macross outside Japan anyways at least not a lot to have a huge impact in import sales.

Who knows maybe later some series predictions will increase. Take Masou Gakuen HxH for example, maybe after Ep4 the prediction will increase.

You shouldn't believe those predictions right now, wait a month for better predictions.

It's kinda funny.

Other than Love live no show breaches 4K, the disc medium is dying fast.

Obviously piracy doesn't affect the sales as only domestic sales are released by Oricon anyway. What i'm saying is that the number of Westerners buying Japanese discs is incredibly small (possibly less than 100). Sure there may be a slight increase in overseas sales due to the English subtitles, but look back at what you said here in the following quote.
No. Piracy does not affect sales AT ALL. Pirates would not buy the works anyway.
You are saying the overseas sales are the reason why the actual sales of Macross Delta is higher, which is what i'm getting at here. Again, read what i'm posting, and stop glossing over the important parts. How many Westerners are willing to pay 8000+ yen for Vol.1? Do I have to spell it out for you? How could that be of any significance to the sales, when the discs sold 9,999? Are you saying, suddenly thousands of Westerners bought the discs because of the English subtitles? Get real.
Anyone who cares about macross enough to buy it, because its the only way to. Its in an unique situation unlike love live or the rest of shows.
You are acting like I said the sales would be doubled by western orders. Somehow I doubt I am the one who is not reading the posts.
You said way higher. Way higher is equivalent to saying it is significantly higher than it is, while in reality overseas sales are a drop in the ocean, regardless if it has English subtitles or not. Now I regret wasting my time even pointing out what you posted in the beginning, when you just keep going on a tangent.
Piracy as a whole does affect sales. It has positive and negative effects. Positives is that it brings more recognition to the work, while the negatives is that the production committee is getting robbed of potential sales. If torrents or other ways of getting the content illegally did not exist, then how would pirates be able to even watch the content in the first place? There was a time before torrents, etc, existed, where people actually bought content, but now in the internet age, and the ease of copying content onto discs, etc, makes it way too easy to pirate content. It is complete rubbish stating that piracy doesn't affect sales, when it obviously does.
I'm taking my leave from this argument before I waste even more time. I have better things to do than go around in circles with someone who doesn't get it.

Those who Pirate would not have bought the discs anyway. "piracy" does not affect sales. Its a service problem and those interested would more than likely buy it.
You also underestimate the macross fandom.

Its most likely way higher than that considering out-of-country sales should be higher as it includes English subs this time.

Same thing can be said with Love Live, since it has English subtitles too. But I doubt it is way higher because of that reason, since Japanese BDs are much much more expensive than in the West. Do you see many Westerners paying 8000+ yen for Vol.1? I don't think so.
You can watch and buy Love Live dubbed and subbed in the west.
The only way you can get Macross in the west is to buy the japanese release.
So what? Read what else I said. How many Westerners are willing to spend 8000+ yen to buy Vol.1. Everyone knows the number of overseas imports is so negligible, so I pointed out why you saying the sales is much higher because of that reason is nonsense. It is more likely to be much higher because Oricon does not count the sales from the Bandai Visual store, rather than your reason. Also, Westerners are more likely to pirate than the Japanese, so what stops them from waiting for someone to rip the discs and make a torrent of it for them to download. English subtitles are already on the discs as you said, so this is the more likely outcome.
