Macross almost 10k. Should be able to do it next week.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Oricon counts overseas sales, but doesn't not include them in these figures. Source was from a CD Japan email, if I can find it.

Looks like, Bandai Visual store still doesn't report its sales to Oricon, as I said in the previous thread, unless someone can prove to me otherwise. I know Lantis store doesn't report CD sales to Oricon and they are both subsidiaries of Bandai Namco Holdings, Inc. It makes sense, because one of the 10 Love Live! CDs to get gold disc certified from the RIAJ for shipping 100,000 copies, sold 76,905 copies according to Oricon.

3 days of sales. Pre-release day is also counted for every single anime release, as Amazon JP and a few other retailers send out the discs earlier, and therefore the disc ends up popping up on the daily ranking. Release day is known as "storefront day", so think Animate, gamers, softmap, HMV, etc, but Amazon JP still sends out some discs on release day, but primarily on pre-release day. Pre-release and release day are usually the biggest sales days, so it doesn't really matter much on how many days it was on sale in week 1.

Good sales for Macross.
Also it's nice that Ace wo Nerae is still relevant in modern anime industry.

this is worrying Macross Frontier in the past was selling like an average of 46,000+ per discs/volume in the past if i remember right

so the trend of poor sales of anime this year continues

so this is actually like a bad sales for a huge franchise like Macross

poor Macross Delta

Can't help but be disappointed with those Macross Delta sales, I was in no way expecting Frontier levels but was hoping for a lot more than this for first week, hoping for long legs. It is by no means bad though. The box that comes with the first volume is lush, cannot wait to have it on my shelf.

And the CD sales are great as well so success it is.

Summer estimates,

37.5k Love Live Sunshine
*3.5k B-Project
*3.4k Arslan Senki S2
*3.2k Amunchu
*3.1k New Game
*2.7k Rewrite
*2.6k Fate/Kaleid S4
*2.6k Servamp
*2.5k Mahou Gakuen H x H
*2.5k Thunderbolt Fantasy

Under 2k,
Shows not listed here.

-
Will only update this season if we see big changes.
Disc sales seem to be losing importance, but unless the amount of shows drasticly goes down its not something that is very worrying.

Nope, also does not include a lot of stores.

i.e Sakura trick reported it shipped around triple the amount of units Oricon reported.

Just to add a disclaimer here, these estimates are only based on Amazon JP ranking performance. It doesn't take into account any strong performance at other retailers such as Animate, gamers, softmap, HMV, etc, so some of these will be underestimated such as Love Live SunShine (every single volume was underestimated for the original Love Live), and anime with a strong female fan backing (B-Project, Servamp, and Love Live SunShine for example, although the first two have a higher ratio of female fans).

Good to see Macross Delta doing well. Its most likely way higher than that considering out-of-country sales should be higher as it includes English subs this time.

Same thing can be said with Love Live, since it has English subtitles too. But I doubt it is way higher because of that reason, since Japanese BDs are much much more expensive than in the West. Do you see many Westerners paying 8000+ yen for Vol.1? I don't think so.

Macross is not "simulcasted" in the west because of Harmony Gold. Love live is at Crunchyroll. This is a big difference.

You can watch and buy Love Live dubbed and subbed in the west.
The only way you can get Macross in the west is to buy the japanese release.

So what? Read what else I said. How many Westerners are willing to spend 8000+ yen to buy Vol.1. Everyone knows the number of overseas imports is so negligible, so I pointed out why you saying the sales is much higher because of that reason is nonsense. It is more likely to be much higher because Oricon does not count the sales from the Bandai Visual store, rather than your reason. Also, Westerners are more likely to pirate than the Japanese, so what stops them from waiting for someone to rip the discs and make a torrent of it for them to download. English subtitles are already on the discs as you said, so this is the more likely outcome.

Those who Pirate would not have bought the discs anyway. "piracy" does not affect sales. Its a service problem and those interested would more than likely buy it.

Obviously piracy doesn't affect the sales as only domestic sales are released by Oricon anyway. What i'm saying is that the number of Westerners buying Japanese discs is incredibly small (possibly less than 100). Sure there may be a slight increase in overseas sales due to the English subtitles, but look back at what you said here in the following quote.

You are saying the overseas sales are the reason why the actual sales of Macross Delta is higher, which is what i'm getting at here. Again, read what i'm posting, and stop glossing over the important parts. How many Westerners are willing to pay 8000+ yen for Vol.1? Do I have to spell it out for you? How could that be of any significance to the sales, when the discs sold 9,999? Are you saying, suddenly thousands of Westerners bought the discs because of the English subtitles? Get real.

No. Piracy does not affect sales AT ALL. Pirates would not buy the works anyway.

Anyone who cares about macross enough to buy it, because its the only way to. Its in an unique situation unlike love live or the rest of shows.

You are acting like I said the sales would be doubled by western orders. Somehow I doubt I am the one who is not reading the posts.

You said way higher. Way higher is equivalent to saying it is significantly higher than it is, while in reality overseas sales are a drop in the ocean, regardless if it has English subtitles or not. Now I regret wasting my time even pointing out what you posted in the beginning, when you just keep going on a tangent.

Piracy as a whole does affect sales. It has positive and negative effects. Positives is that it brings more recognition to the work, while the negatives is that the production committee is getting robbed of potential sales. If torrents or other ways of getting the content illegally did not exist, then how would pirates be able to even watch the content in the first place? There was a time before torrents, etc, existed, where people actually bought content, but now in the internet age, and the ease of copying content onto discs, etc, makes it way too easy to pirate content. It is complete rubbish stating that piracy doesn't affect sales, when it obviously does.

I'm taking my leave from this argument before I waste even more time. I have better things to do than go around in circles with someone who doesn't get it.

So what? Most of its sales were achieved on the 22 like all anime sales. A week is not going to make a huge difference. And stop spouting crap, unless you have proof of these "western sales" they're not a measure of anything nor are they significant since not that much people care about Macross outside Japan anyways at least not a lot to have a huge impact in import sales.
