Additional Cast Members of 'Battery' TV Anime Announced

A second promotional video for the Summer 2016 anime Battery has announced four additional cast members for the adaptation of Atsuko Asano's baseball novel series. The latest footage was aired on Friday during the broadcast of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri.

Battery's official website has also released color character designs by animator Hideoki Kusama. They are based on original designs by mangaka Takako Shimura.

Seiha Harada: Yui Fujimaki (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki)
Shuugo Kadowaki: Yuuki Ono (Kuroko no Basket)
Shunji Mizugaki: Ryouhei Kimura (Gin no Saji)
Kazuki Kaionji: Yuuichirou Umehara (Young Black Jack)

I don't know shit about baseball, but this thing sure looks interesting.

Feels like it's gonna be somewhat cliche, and it'll probably focus more on drama and slice of life elements than sports. Hope it's not too angsty tho. Also hope it won't be as predictable as this,

Start: Someone trying to recruit a catcher/pitcher
Mid: Drama, drama, training, drama, angst. Note: Drama consists of "why work hard when you know you can't win", "I have no talent, I realized that when I was in middle school, lost the game", "Someone died, so I won't play baseball anymore", "I have to work to support my family, I can't have time for hobby", "insert other cliche situation"
End: Show 1 final game, battery formed, happy end.

Prove me wrong, Battery!

Edit: -Still patiently waiting for Oofuri season 3.

This better not become a pattern for noitaminA, nobody cares about Prime streaming, the people subscribed to it could care less about some weird anime, they should learn where their demographic lies instead of trying to expand somewhere they're not needed

I am going to pick this up. Let's see if it can beat my favourite baseball anime of all times (Oofuri for the curious). Although I don't have much baseball related anime on my list :P The only thing I completed were some seasons of Major and Cross game.
