it got its anime back and still cant beat bleach in manga sales? bruh
Yet Gintama still and always has been more profitable than Bleach...

That's not even remotely true.

Bleach was/is more profitable in both anime and manga. Not only did it have high ratings for at least have of it's air time (Which automatically makes it more profitable than Gintama) but it also had high disc sales for the early arcs.

I wish Ufotable would get the rights to animate Tokyo Ghoul and make it a cash-cow franchise like Fate.

That manga deserves a good adaptation with top-tier animation

TG just need a studio that can adapt it faithfully with good animation and choreography. ufotable makes god-tier art but their animation falls flat most of the time because of poor choreography, same with A-1.

ufotable cant adapt it faithfully lol

I'm a massive fan of Terraformars and even I'm surprised to see it selling so well. It's surprising how well the series actually does.

Counting the Box-sets of all series we end up with:

1. One Piece 1,301,390
2. Gintama 1,005,969
3. Bleach 580,876

Wow, are the older series from the 90s and 80 alsocounted in this? Also if you put Naruto and Naruto Shippuden together I think that it would end up around Gintamas Level. Also we have Series like Dragonball, Dragonball Z and GT which sold probably more combined.

Dragon Ball had multiple periods of releases, and it was popular in each one of those, so certainly is way bigger. Naruto in the level of Gintama? I'm not so sure. Naruto volumes always sold less than One Piece and its Box Set also did it.

I'm gonna check out now both Dragon Ball and Naruto.

Don't care about TG but the top 20 looks pretty darn good I must say.

TG:re doing fantastic! JoJo in the top 5! I hope Ansatsu Kyoushitsu's last volume gets in the top 5 :D

Hopefully people on MAL will start to acknowledge Golden Kamuy after seeing these sales.
