It seems people only have an issue when it's curvy girls. There's just as much male fanservice in Food Wars as female.The artist who draws Food Wars was a former hentai doujin artist. He draws sexy girls, deal with it. As other people have said, the manga tones down the fanservice a lot later on.
I get that some people dislike it for it's cooking theme; but don't make shit up.
Females are for the most of the part being treated like Naruto girls(useless for most of the part compared to the males).

? HST is a Title thats only for american manga sales. Souma and maany other series have surpassed bleach long time ago. Shonen Jump is not trying to have something like the HST, theyre goal is to keep One Piece as their biggest seller and have some good selling series come up ever 2-3 years and end them after about 5 years.

If you ever got to the latter half of the manga, you'll see that the series nearly (perhaps completely) abandons its fan service.
