'Boruto' Manga Announced For Spring 2016

The official Shounen Jump site opened a countdown timer with the text "Next Generation" two weeks ago and revealed today that a manga series for Boruto will publish as part of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine at a monthly basis starting Spring 2016. The series will center around protagonist Boruto, the son of Naruto.

Mikio Ikemoto will be the illustrator of the manga. He previously worked as an assistant for Masashi Kishimoto, the original manga creator of Naruto. In addition, Kishimoto will be supervising the manga and Ukyou Kodachi will be writing the script.

Well, I'll read this.

But I don't see why people are surprised. Naruto is the new DBZ; it'll still be getting merchandise and stuff twenty years from now, mark my words.

Sarada already got her manga. She was the main character in Naruto Gaiden.

Goaden was pretty pointless just seem like fanservice to readers and sasusaku fans.

Authors and artists should know when and how to end their works. The inability to do so is the sign of a poor artist. For the newbies' sake, I just hope it won't be as pointless as Masashi's Naruto Gaiden.

Great for the fans, but I won't be reading. I'm content with the way Naruto ended, so I personally don't need anymore. I'm still waiting to watch Boruto (when it releases with an English Dub), but that'll be it for my fill of Naruto.

Milking it too much even if the artist worked with Kishimoto ... Even if Kishimoto watches over it. I don't like the new generation at all maybe I will after the Boruto movie but still I don't like them for now.... The way Naruto is treating his family... Feel bad for Hinata even tho I was a NaruHina shipper....

Not really Kishimot made shit up as he went pretty much like every Shouen artist, well except The Seven Sins creator has three arcs planed.

*sigh* As much as I loved Naruto, I will probably skip this. Sequels about the kids of the main cast never live up to the original and I was content with where the Naruto manga ended for the most part.
