TV Anime 'Gyakuten Saiban' Cast and Staff Revealed

The cast and staff members for the TV anime adaptation of visual novel Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright) were briefly listed, according to a Japanese entertainment news site. The series will adapt CAPCOM's visual novel and premiere in Spring 2016, to replace Kindaichi Shounen Jikenbo Returns (2015).

Well, as long as the adaptation is at least decently true to the source material, I'll give this series a shot. Besides, I was seriously expecting SAO III, or some unnecessary sequel like that, before an Ace Attorney anime, so I hope to be at least pleasantly surprised.

Plus, the cast isn't that bad. Yuki Kaji may not be the greatest out there, but I think he still has potential. The others seem fine, and the music doesn't appear to be an issue (which was one of the staples of the franchise of video games in the first place, with "Objection!" and "Pressing Pursuit" and all that).

Let's just hope they don't butcher it to a crazy amount. Sure, small cuts would be fine (I doubt anyone really WANTS Oldbag or one of the other really annoying characters on-screen for too long), but let's pray the story (another staple point of the franchise) and characters stay intact.

They should've kept Bones (the studio which animated Dual Destinies) as the studio. As far as I'm aware, A-1 Pictures has pulled shit like Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online.

Yuki Kaji really is in everything these days. This feels like a miscast but I hope that he's better for the role than I think he will be.

Takayuki Kondo is still voicing Phoenix/Ryuuichi in the new game, so I would have prefered if he voiced the character in this too.

I guess the people who make adaptations of something where the characters already have game voice actors don't care for consistensy

Ono Daisuke would have been perfect as Phoenix. I never imagined him having a teen boy-ish voice like Yuki Kaiji.

He has the type of someone with manly voice even if he acts like a wimp sometimes idk, still Yuki Kaji's voice doesn't fit Phoenix imo.
