Ah, that's my experience with Unia as well. A lot of albums have to "grow" on me, but Unia really required a lot of listens to genuinely appreciate. Every time I listened to it, I liked it a little more than the last time until I realized it was one of my favorite Sonata albums. It's because I prefer the more complex sound of post-Reckoning Night SA that The Days of Grays is my favorite SA album, for similar reasons. :)
They are certainly among my favorite artists, if perhaps only because of how replayable they are. It's strange, though, that Unia tops your charts when that's arguably the most traditionally hated SA album (although I love it). It's safe to say it's your favorite SA album, I guess? :P
Precisely. I really don't like people telling me that my rating system is all wrong. Like, who cares? I don't bother others for having a 9.00 average and I certainly don't criticize them for watching anime the way they do, so why bother me about mine? To be honest, quite a few people just can't wrap their head around this :/
Glad you understand :) people like to annoy me a lot about it, actually, haha. And that's fine. To each their own, you know? I usually just rate critically though, even though you could probably assume that a lot of people like to hate on me for it.

Well, you could look at it either way. Maybe it's dedication... or a bad habit. I just don't like to drop stuff because I know studios put a lot of effort into making them and that I don't want to give something a terrible rating if I only watched a couple of episodes (things can pick up in a show, right?). But even then, I would say I pick up 1 good show in every 10 that I watch. A sad ratio, but well-written shows are very hard to come by these days :(
