Animation studio Sunrise, in a joint panel with Bandai Namco Pictures at Anime Expo 2015, provided more information about its next project in the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Akane Hagino, a manager in the international sales department of Sunrise, specified that the project will be revealed on July 15 at noon Japan time.

A teaser site (http://www.g-tekketsu.com/) opened on July 3 with a silhouette of the key visual and a countdown clock for the announcement. The press conference will be streamed on the site with simultaneous English interpretation. Footage with highlights of the announcement will later be made available with subtitles in six languages.

The term tekketsu (鉄血) translates to "blood and iron," referring to military might. In world history, Japanese forces in Okinawa during World War II raised a volunteer Blood and Iron Corps composed of male students aged 14-17. One-half of the members in the unit died during the three-month Battle of Okinawa in 1945.

Idk if I'm gonna like the MC tho. He gives me Eren and Seraph's Yuu vibes and I really don't like them as MCs. *sigh* cant we get a happy- go-lucky, laidback gundam MC for once lol

After War Gundam X. You only seen Gundam 00 though unless you forgot to add other Gundam titles on your list. But Garrod is as close as you are going to get when it comes to happy go lucky Gundam MCs.

I wonder how many episodes it will get, 26 isn't enough, if they can't do 40-52 episodes they should do at least 36-39 episodes.

I feel like 50 episode series are going the way of the dodo.

It can work in 26 episodes fine, just cause G-reco was a mess doesnt mean they always will be at that length. I do prefer to have a 50 ep series but gundam generally has alot of fluff anyway.

Looks promising. I was ready for something a little more serious.

The protagonist kind of looks like a cross between Setsuna and Garrod Ran. Maybe some Domon too.

That's not a MG, sadly, that's one of those cheap 1/100 non-grades or possibly part of the new RE 1/100 line. Only 2700 yen and definitely not modern MG quality.

Well, you have a point, seeing that it doesn't say the letter MG in the Japanese text and kind of on the cheaper end of the price of a MG... I haven't seen a master grade lower than 3500 yen before... but it has an inner frame and because of its scale it cannot be a RG gunpla. For the 1/100 scale, they really stopped doing that after Seed and 00. So I do think it is a MG. Its probably this cheap since it probably won't have too much weapons at the start, but if they have all the weapons I am seeing from the other scales like ex_necross posted (a samurai sword, a broadsword like spear, and a scissor claw that can prolly fire railguns). If it is cheap, then its also better at a price standpoint, can't tell too much about quality until I see reviews.

Here are some better pictures I found at Reddit. Click the link for more.

I know that it has an inner frame, but the HG one says "HG 1/144" and was introduced as such in the panel, whereas the 1/100 is just "1/100", no "MG". If it were a MG, they would have said so. Plus, I mean just look at it. That is not MG quality. That's 1/100 nongrade quality. There being an inner frame is odd though, I don't think they are going to make another grade type specifically for this show.. so my best guess is it's just "1/100", simple as that.

There's no way this is a MG

Wow, I really like they even previewed HG and MG of the Gundams.

Since it is getting released somewhere November 2015, the anime might be airing by that time. If it becomes good, Imma pick up the MG of Gundam Barbatos.

So we have a director who, for the most part, is mostly known for his slice of life work, and Okada, whose writing is overall inconsistent in terms of quality. And people thought this would be a dark, mature Gundam. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to give this series a chance but I don't have high expectations. Sigh, at least the next episode of Origin is this fall.
Well this will be a dark gunda, mari okada is more infamous for how bad her dark stuff is

About the writer.. AnoHana's writer? I've watched AnoHana, tho I like it(kinda), it didn't really give me strong impression.

Overall the anticipation is quite underwhelming for me lol but still gonna bookmark this.

Edit: Omg is that Tsukiyama? lmao

I know im the most vocally bitching about the staff in this thread, but i am fully open to the idea of being proven wrong with this being bad, a broken clock is right 2 times a day and who knows maybe the director really can pull off a war story.

I am going in with low expectations, but fuck it that should mean it has the opportunity to prove me wrong, and frnakly i do really love the ideas displayed in how the world is with its more or less gundam x setting and the whole upgrading mech thing.

At least we dodged the Fukuda bullet.. but at this point I don't actually know which is worse.

Also I do like the mech design so far.

The designs alone get me really hyped!

Also the Gundams are called Barbatos, Kimaris, and Gusion which are demons from the Ars Goetia of the Lesser Key of Solomon.

They all look good, I'll need to pick at least one of those MS up when they are released.
