@UchihaProdigy1

It is not publically available on the Oricon website, as they only provide Weekly and Monthly data (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/zzl/w/2015-06-22/ and http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/zzl/m/2015-05/), but they've made a dead link to a Yearly chart though (http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/zzl/y//)

It is available from the Oricon Youtaiju website through login, labelled as "2015年上半期総合シリーズ別TOP30". I've seen snippets posted on 2ch, but not the whole Top 30 chart (to the best of my knowledge), which is why I posted the whole chart here, since 2ch doesn't allow overseas posting.

Here are some statistics of the ratio of male to female users of mobile games on the Android OS for certain anime franchises. You need to make an account at https://analytics.appa.pe/#/ to see this for yourself... but I will paste images in for your convenience.

This is all within my expectations, since Love Live! is probably one of the most mainstream late-night anime franchises of recent times. I have also heard reports that SHOW BY ROCK! has a significant female fanbase, so again not surprised with the male to female ratio there. For Idolmaster Cinderella Girls, it doesn't surprise me it has a majority male fanbase. This is pretty evident from the music sales.

10. 269 75,643 Sword Art Online II Vol.8 Limited Edition

SAO II did not even make the Top 30 Anime DVDs this week. The DVD which sold 269 this week and sold 75,643 is Aladdin Special Edition (08.03), which obviously doesn't qualify for inclusion in the Japanese anime lists.

Half-Yearly BD/DVD sales have been posted:
http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1395549

Music BD/DVD and Anime Series (a new ranking list from Oricon Youtaiju!) Rankings are also available.

Key: Rank / Total sales / Anime Series Title

Note: Total sales means all sales of all volumes that charted within the Top 300 BD and Top 300 DVD for any week in between the sales period of 2014/12/08~2014/06/07. Also note that some series had many new volumes released in this period compared to other series. Example is SAO II vs Love Live! 2nd Season, which had 6 new volumes released vs just 1 for Love Live 2nd Season.

Anime Series
**3 120,464 Sword Art Online II
**4 112,475 STAND BY ME Doraemon
**5 *98,151 Love Live! 2nd Season
**6 *92,418 Haikyuu!!
**7 *92,234 SHIROBAKO
**8 *89,383 Free! -Eternal Summer-
**9 *80,322 Gundam THE ORIGIN
*10 *69,223 Tsukimonogatari
*11 *65,060 Kuroko no Basuke
*12 *61,581 Rakuen Tsuihou -Expelled from Paradise-
*13 *61,035 Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
*14 *59,922 KanColle
*15 *58,961 Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru
*16 *50,325 Gundam G no Reconguista
*17 *49,185 Yowamushi Pedal GRANDE ROAD
*18 *44,730 Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
*19 *43,331 Aldnoah.Zero
*20 *43,093 JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders
*21 *40,721 Amagi Brilliant Park
*22 *40,045 Cross Ange Tenshi to Ryuu no Rondo
*23 *39,697 Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
*24 *37,829 Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works]
*25 *36,197 Omoide no Marnie
*26 *35,681 Yamato 2199 Hoshimeguru Hakobune
*27 *35,334 Youkai Watch
*28 *35,093 PSYCHO-PASS 2
*30 *32,762 Nanatsu no Taizai

I just realised something… we can figure out some of the current averages as of last week’s list based on the total sales from last year + the anime series sales for the 1st half-year.

What we know is that Love Live! 2nd Season was at these numbers in the 2014 yearly list:..

**7 115,870 14/06/20 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.1 Limited Edition (RE at 396)
*18 *56,286 14/07/25 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.2
*21 *50,286 14/09/24 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.4
*22 *50,131 14/08/27 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.3
*29 *45,778 14/10/29 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.5
*31 *43,501 14/11/21 Love Live! 2nd Season Vol.6

That totals 362,248 for 2014 (as of December 7). Now we know that Love Live! 2nd Season sold 98,151 from December 8~June 7… which totals 460,399, which results in an average of 65,771.3 as of June 7.

Don't producers like Toei usually make money off TV rating? Or was Sailormoon not aired on TV?
Crystal is an ONA, which essentially means that it's been airing online for the past year, therefore TV rankings aren't even a thing for Crystal. Sales, merch, and nostalgia are pretty much the money points for Crystal since it doesn't have rankings to cash in on.

It started airing on TV this april. I have no idea if their main income comes from tv revenues. Considering the enormous amount of Sailor Moon merchandise that was released over the last year, I just figured it had to be that.
