I really hope for a part 4 adaptation too!
Honestly something about Jojo that I'm really interested about is its Time Slot and whether or not it's a late night anime. I don't know when it airs but considering how popular Jojo is in Japan I assume that more than just the DVD and Blu-ray sales go into the decision of whether or not more will be made.

Maybe I'm being too hopeful here but I really want to find some loop hole that means that Jojo is making tons of money and we're guaranteed an anime right up to the end of Part six, possibly even further.

Yep the same for me.. but i probably will read the manga after part 3 anime finished and will watch it if they decide to adapt part 4.. I hear from most of JoJo's fans that part 4 is even better than part 3 so i'm pretty hyped i guess :P

About the time slot.. IIRC they always air Jojo at 00.30 every saturday.. What do you think about that? But i think a lot of popular anime are also put in midnight time slot, so i think it won't be a problem..

Yeah, the same with me dude.. but as for now let's just hope they will adapt part 4 first..

Although SAO, has poor animation, it sells very well.
Tokyo Ghoul Season 3 RIP T_T I wanted to see sex between Touka and Kaneki.

Pretty solid number for Yona imo (3.5k). Not sure if it'll drop off due to how late it is, but still, for a first volume of a shoujo pretty decent number imo. Not sure about another season though. Might depend on the manga publisher if it's on the committee. Still don't understand why the disc producer backed out....

If shigatsu can manage a 9k+ average that would seem pretty good for it.

Full list is now out by the way. Exact numbers for Akatsuki no Yona Vol.1 is 1,820, and Gunslinger Stratos is 822 on BD.

It airs at 24:30 JST on Friday (12:30am JST on Saturday) on Tokyo MX, thus it is a late-night anime.

Here are the overall rankings for the releases from last week,with known sales in bold, from the other BD/DVD sales lists (such as Idol Image, Drama, Movie, etc). Anything in the Top 100 BD and Top 100 DVDs will be known in the upcoming full list on Thursday night/Friday morning (Japan time), so I won't bother checking their numbers in the extended lists.

EDIT: For the new Vol.1s released this week, Akatsuki no Yona sold 1,817~1,822 BDs and Gunslinger Stratos sold 822~825 BDs (they are in blue in the BD list). The exact numbers will be in the full list though. Sales ranges for anime outside the Top 100 this week are in red.

Regarding Akatsuki no Yona, I thought by now people would have been ready for this. Shoujo anime(shoujo manga to anime, not otome anime) sell very poorly and it's a miracle that it sold this much as it is.

The manga sales is what matters here, and Yona got a good manga boost.

Supposedly the company that was supposed to do the discs backed out, so not sure what they could've done. Still, first volume could have sold about 3k, not sure but hopefully we find out when more of the list is revealed. 3k isn't too great, but it's not awful I guess. Not sure if/how it was influenced by the circumstances.
