Yoshitoshi Abe's 'Despera' Anime Project in Revival

At a recent live drawing demonstration, Yoshitoshi Abe mentioned the revival of the Despera anime project, originally put on hiatus, at around 7:35 of the video. The revival comes with another director showing an interest in the project after the previous director, Ryuutarou Nakamura, passed away.

Wow, these are great news, I mean low long has it been since they put the project on hold? 3 years? 4 years? It already feels like a lifetime ago.
I'm a big fan of Yoshitoshi Abe's art and I'm looking forward to see his unique character designs again in animated form.

I vaguely remember the title when it was first announced.
It's sad that the previous director died, but i'm glad the project was picked up again.

before the thread locking happened, I kept checking back in that thread every little while for updates incase they ever planned to revive the project.
