Mysterious Robot Anime 'Doamiger D' Announced to Air Spring 2015

It was announced that a robot anime titled Doamiger D will be aired in Spring 2015. The catch phrase is "Kyoto x Japanese sweet x Robot anime." It was also announced that the main character, Daijirou Kyougoku, will be voiced by stage actor Ryouta Murai, who portrayed Sakamichi Onoda in the musical version of Yowamushi Pedal, Yowamushi Pedal Interhigh-hen The Second Order.

Synopsis:
The year is 2015 in Kyoto. Daijirou Kyougoku is the 15th generation owner of a dessert shop. One day, he discovers a giant robot named Doamiger D underneath his store. At the same time, evil monsters called "mekaijuu" suddenly start raging the streets of Kyoto! What is Doamiger D?! What is happening to Old Town Kyoto?! (Source: Animate.tv)

Lol the synopsis sounds exactly like that new Transformers movie, where Marky Mark finds Optimus Prime in his garage full of trash.

I like the art style but the animation seems a bit odd. Wait and see for the first episode, I guess.

Mixed feelings for this one.

I read Doamiger as Daimiler or whatever, the ecchi comedy mecha anime series that came out not too long before.

I will probably watch this. I like the old art style, reminds me of the old time.
