Kickstarter for Sci-Fi Anime 'Under the Dog' Launched [Update 9/5]

Creative Intelligence Arts announced a Kickstarter on Friday for an original 24-minute anime titled Under the Dog. The project is seeking to raise $580,000 USD by September 7th.

Producer: Hiroaki Yura
Character and Mechanical Design: Yuusuke Kozaki
Animation Studio: Kinema Citrus
3D CGI Animation: Orange Co.

Synopsis
Under the Dog takes place in 2025 in Neo Tokyo, five years after a devastating terrorist attack at the Tokyo Olympics. In the wake of the tragedy, the U.N. formed a covert ops unit dedicating to seeking out, then eliminating those responsible for the attack. Anthea Kallenberg, a girl of Swedish descent is a member of this elite group who has honed her combat abilities and has become a deadly assassin, but must come to terms as to who she really is.

Update September 5
'Under the Dog' has reached its Kickstarter goal with two days to spare. According to the creators, the finished product will be in Japanese with English subtitles. The team is also in talks with Crunchyroll and Netflix to distribute the OVA.

For any non backers of the project, they still post lots of updates on the kickstarter page.
The updates are really interesting. There's lots of actual information behind the scenes how they do the animation for those interested there.
There is also updates about the story, characters, plans, Q&A, specs etc. I urge people interested to take a look from time to time.

Seems like they've found a way to get people to keep funding it beyond the Kickstarter (on Paypal through their site). Which is great because it's going to contribute to the stretch goals if it gets far enough.

It would still be very cool if it reached some of the stretch goals...
$1.16 million for a prequel ep (2 episodes 48 min)
$1.74 million for 3 ep (72 min)

And Highly unlikely ($5.1 for a full feature film instead. 90-120 min)

Just watched trailer. My impression... hmmm... The soundtrack is amazing, it really reminds me Hans Zimmer works. Art reminds me Shinkai works a little bit mixed with GITS.
