I somewhat remember reading a post by symbv long back, saying that the best option for an adaptation is a drama and not anime. A drama tends to reach a much larger audience apparantly, (along with other stuff that it does better than an anime adaptation, which I cant remember atm).

So, if the drama is already increasing awareness of biblia's novel, then I dont see a need for an anime adaptation, atleast in regards to increasing awareness.

Yeah, drama adaptations reach a much larger audience than anime and are indeed better for promoting the source material (especially if it has mainstream appeal), but not all anime adaptations are made with the intent of doing that: some are made because a TV network expect good ratings for the airing of the adaptation, or because someone in a position of funding the adaptation really want for that anime to be made (which is probably what happens with some adaptations like Shin Sekai Yori's anime adaptation, since I doubt that it was expected to do well in the first place).

Yah, ik, hence my last sentence xD.

Then again if they never adapted a title before, the chances of them starting now with Biblia is quite low.
Furthermore they already made a drama. Seems to me like they aren't going to get out of their habits right now.

Yes, if they're going to start then Biblia may be the best choice considering its sales.

Since I can't find back a s source of what I said above, there's still a chance I guess, but I would not expect anything if I were you.

Well, I have my own speculation why they are not adapting Biblia as anime,it has too few main characters to be Late-night anime which is characters' fans are very important for disc sales and a bit too minor to be on sunday morning or evening anime like kindaichi or space brothers.
And the biggest reason is readers of biblia are not typical LN fans but more average mystery novel fans ,so mostlikely only a few of biblia fans are late-night anime watchers.

Well, better not trust that until further notice. I really can't find again where I read it. Before buying a novel/LN I usually go on several website to see the comments on it and decide if I'll buy it or not. Because of that, it may have been on any of those so it's pretty much impossible to check it back for me right now.
However, it is a fact that media works bunko doesn't register itself as a LN label, and that they seldom do anime adaptation for their titles (they do manga and drama adaptation quite a bit though). Actualy, despite that label having quite a good list of titles, I can't find a single anime adaptation.
So I'll say that having chosen that publisher is already quite a big hint about the author wish on an anime version of it.

Ok I know what you mean. Media works bunko is between normal novel and LNs.

But I don't think they are refusing anime adaptation,I think their novel are just not typical LNs that is why they are not on typical LNs label.

Publishing Normal novel do not mean the author refusing anime adaptation. They are just not LNs type novels.

EDIT/ got through the whole list of media works bunko. If I didn't miss anything, there isn't a single title which was adapted in anime in there.

I read that several months ago so finding it back is going to be difficult. Also, why would the author want an anime adaptation. It's a NOVEL (not even classified as a ln by the industry mind you), not a manga. Not every novel is made with the hope of being animated you see, and some would give pretty awful results, especially with the usual ratios (100 pages/episodes for most of them) meaning rushed contents, not even talking about massively altered contents in some case.
I'll search a little the source but I have little hope~
Edit : nah, can't remember. i think I read that info 4 months ago when I searched for infos on that title before deciding if I'll buy it or not ... But was that a trustworthy source or not... Can't check anymore.

Ok I understand.
I just want to ask if you have valid souce because I read a lot of articles about Biblia koshodo but have never heard of author refusing anime adaptation.
If it is true, it is kind of big news for me.

I have been curious about Biblia since I first saw it up there months ago.. anime when?

Yeah.. .That novel sells crazy, probably appeals to a wider variety of audience considering it's cover doesn't seem moe-inspired at all.

do you read toriko? narration, epic worldbuilding, fights, mistery, badass creepy characters..

its definetly equal to hxh ( i read both)

tell me if you want examples , i can post them

I thought you meant in sales. I didn't read Toriko. Sadly it just doesn't interest me, and I prefer anime over manga when it comes to battle shounen, and the fact it's adapted by Toei is off putting.
